Do you know what would be interesting? Cosplay dating games

So i found some footage of this and i thought " Hey This could make our NZ Cons a bit more. interesting"
It basically works like those 70s and 80s dating show game When 3 contestants ( Male or female ) sit behind a wall. And the Player must ask them question in order to learn about them. At the end of the game. The player must choice one out of the three people. The audience can also shout out who they want to be chosen ( Pick contestant 3).
Since its people in cosplay. You ask question base of your character. EG: A sebation cosplay could say " If you were my master. What would you make me do?"
So who thinks this a good idea or horrible attempt at romance?

That sounds so fun! Are you thinking of doing like a part of the Cosplay Games, or something less official?

It would be fun to try out at ACP or even the Ronin event for Auckland people.

If so. then we need enough people that wouldn't mind taking part. Also we will need some host's for each con.
Or someone that wouldn't mind go to all the cons and host it.

But. I have to know if the people want it. ( Well people. Do yah?) Neutral

There's an official cosplay games at all the Armageddons that JVCA runs with the help of several others.

Personally I'm not interested, I'm not interested in dating games or anything like that cause I don't care too much about dating in general. I'd rather spend my time walking around looking at stuff Razz

Haha, I think I proposed the blind date game a while back. It had some niche interest, but it wasnt really enough to make it worth playing the game at the time.
If you are interested in hosting it, I would be happy to send you my writeup, you can see if you can get it off the ground!

I read though your blind date topic. seemed interesting. Why we're the people not interested?

probably the best reason so far is what Pura said.
After all. A few people don't really care that much when comes to dating. Which makes sense.

But the whole overall goal is to make our NZ cons. Interesting.
By having cosplayers taking part in a humorous game and spreading love chuu~!

( Man, i sound like a hippie O_o )

Idk, people also think that some people will take it more as serious dating and aren't comfortable with that, or whatever. I can't remember reasons why people didn't like the idea.

We don't NEED a dating game, perhaps? Idk, everyone's friendly with each other, so if the idea is to make friends ... well most of us have already got that part sorted. And if you're not friends with most people on CNZ already, then just go up and talk to them Razz

Not to mention all the 70s and 80s dating videos are painful Razz

and hilarious. But maybe I've only seen the 'worst dating application' videos on youtube xD

As a staged skit it would be entertaining (ala "whose line is it anyway"), But a serious thing, maybe not so much. :think:

I like the idea of a skit better than a 'serious' dating game. I think a some people would be uncomfortable with dating like that.

And for me, NZ cons are pretty interesting enough already! Mostly because I get to see friends I don't usually see, again.
Like Pura said, just come up and talk to people! :)

i have to agree , it would be more entertaining to the crowd if it was if only slightly scripted, gets rid of the possibility of awkward on-stage silence to.
more of a performance than a game~
