Is anyone going to Ronin in Western Springs next year?

Hey guys

Just wanted to know if anyone was going to Ronin (anime gaming, asian pop music, pop music festival) next year? and if they were cosplaying? Would you be interested in going as a group Razz

My friend and I will be going so I thought I would test the waters and see if anyone else was planning to go. Sorry if there is already a thread of this. I am NOOB (in all my glory) and I don't know where to look coocoo

I just googled it, and Ronin looks awesome! Western Springs is pretty close to where I live, so I reckon I'll definitely be going! And probably in a summery cosplay.

I'm thinking about it, AirNZ just announced cheap Welly to Auck and Auck to Welly flights, so I might just consider going, haha. And do a bit of Auckland shopping while I'm at it Razz

EDIT: Changed to Edomae Luna because my gorgeous friend is now doing San with a Nagasumi 8DD

Kind of makes me want to cosplay a character who is a musician, or something to do with music. Maybe Rhyme from TWEWY?

Its kinda unlikely i will have the time to put together something just for Ronin. I would also like to give Kaz a few more spins before he's retired.

Some thoughts for next year currently include.
King Kazma 2.0. yellow hair, bandaged, completely new head build + hand made vest to qualify for the Cosplay Cup.
Ookami. The father from Wolf children (Mid transformation. Wolf head + wool bomber jacket, claw gloves, Maybe feet paws).
Starscream from Transformers Prime (that will probably be a year long project in itself coocoo

)
Mouri Motonari from Basara. He's tall and skinny, and those swords of his would be challenging/fun to make.
SkyHigh from Tiger and Bunny. I quite like the retro-futuristic aspect of his costume. (i should probably go buy the toy. Having a 3D reference was invaluable for making Kaz)

Other than that im toying with the idea of masculating/defeminizing an interesting female character. Aegis from Persona for example (as i peruse my figma collection Rolling Eyes

).

Any other suggestions for a tall skinny guy with a goatee would not be dismissed. Wink

(one of the reasons animal/full helmet characterises appeal to me)

I haven't been watching many fantasy anime series lately, so my ideas are a little thin at the moment.

After i get some fans in there, I should be good for 30min at a time (overcast weather would be nice too).
I was fine on the nice cool Geddon Friday preview night. It was the humid as hell Sunday that killed me sweatdrop

Haha because it is shaping up to be a hot summer! I want a character with dark skin and a short poofy cute dress..very hard to find!! But I know I can survive, but a full mask would be terrible! but you will be fine with fans :3

I am really fixated on this outfit buuut I have already done yoruichi. Oh and thanks for the site. I had only looked at dark skin characters not any tanned.|
