Making long hair short?

I have fairly long hair, and the girl I will be cosplaying as, "Tiny Tina" from Borderlands 2, has short hair. I don't want to cut mine, so should I wear a bald cap and a wig over top?

a wig is probably your best option if you don't want to cut your hair
if your looking to buy locally trade me does have a relatively good range of wigs
anything in a Kanekalon fibre is good, a bit more expensive but they can be heat resistant which is good for styling and just better quality in general

try to avoid "party wigs" which are usually a really shiny plastic fibre and look horrible in photos

Also try the marketplace here as you may find something or start a [buyer] thread
(don't forget a reference pic)

Alternatively you can try overseas websites such as Ebay but they can be a bit pricer but they do have character specific wigs
Taobao is also a great place but as its a Chinese website you will need a 3rd person or agent , sometimes there are group orders running though.

All you need to wear a wig is a wig cap or a cut off stocking there are plenty of tutorials online on how to make these and how to put on wigs as well.
