Saw some brooms at the warehouse but not like this type... and they were mega expensive. :/

Any idea how to make one? Or where to find a cheap one? T__T

Doweling is quite cheap, a few dollars from an emporium or hardware store/mitre 10 will get you one, so that's a good base. <: It's just a stick of wood.

The trouble I would have with this, is finding where to buy the straw, do people know where to buy that? I hazard a guess that they probably have some somewhere in mitre 10 as well. Which you could then probably just wrap on and hold in place with the decorative yarn in the design?

I once got a sort of mini-broom for $3.50 from Japan City (cuba street wellington) with straw bristles. It's the sort of thing that turns up in emporium or bargain stores

I know you can definitely get broom handles from Bunnings (Aisle 43 to be exact if we're talking Lyall Bay sweatdrop

)

As for the straw I'm not too sure either, like Duckeh I would imagine either Mitre 10 or Bunnings might have bundles for sale.

The ones I have seen in the warehouse were like, $20... which is way overpriced for a broom imo...

Worse comes to worst, I'll go to a farm and steal straw. LOL

I have one like that if you want to borrow for a con or photos otherwise hunt in the wharehouse/kmart whent he holloween stuff comes in.
