Hi Everyone,
As you can see I'm new here.
I'm a huge anime nerd and have had an interest in cosplay for a long time, but have never got round actually taking the leap.
So..umm..yea

Oh umm... sewing is a big passion of mine, taught myself as I found what one is taught in school rather lacking in skill and they never teach you the finer points and/or techniques.
Have been sewing for many years and I don't just mean putting together commercial patterns, I like to draft my own.
I foresee putting together my cosplay as being an ultimate test of my skills as a seamstress and therefore wish to find the perfect character for me personally as well as a challenge artistically, which so far has been what has held me back =)

Difficulties, difficulties. So hard finding both ;)

Haha yea I'm the kinda person who puts my all into a project and I want to be sure I have chosen the right character before putting that kinda time, sweat, tears, effort, money etc etc into it =)

So I hope you all will be able to help me later with that and that I can contribute to this community in turn with tips/tricks/advice etc I've discovered on the sewing/construction front =)

Umm... what else...
I love Code Geass, Darker than black, GITS, Durarara!!
Oh I can't stand dubbed anime, I like it the language in which it was ment to be viewed in, yea blooming purist ay ;)

Well..thats all I can think of at the moment!

Oh gosh various ideas chasing each other round my brain lol
Possibly Brera Sterne ( Macross Frontier), Kellen Stadtfeld (Code Geass R2), Shino (.hack//roots) and about a tonne others haha.

Sort of depends on what character would suit me best =)

Hey! Welcome to the forums! What area do you live in/events you plan to go to?

I might be a bit biased in saying you should cosplay Shino Razz

I absolutely love .hack//GU! (roots is similar Razz

but I don't really like the roots anime, I've been meaning to cosplay from GU for a while now, I just haven't got around to it, haha).

I'm in Hawkes Bay area currently.
I'm looking at having which ever one I end up choosing done by next year, but haven't decided between Auckland and Welly Armageddon.
Will depend so will probably choose closer to the time lol
