Post Secret

After Franks recent video (at end of post), I thought I'd help share his website around, for those that haven't heard of him or his site.

"Post Secret is an ongoing community mail art project, created by Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on a homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the Post Secret website, or used for Post Secret's books or museum exhibits."

On this website, every Sunday (around 5pm our time), Frank publishes some of the secrets he has received over the week. The secrets range from bizarre, funny and random, to, sad, serious and shocking. They'll make you laugh, make you cry, make you cringe, and make you really think about life.
There is also the Post Secret Community (http://www.postsecretcommunity.com) where you can go and chat with others or talk about secrets.

The reason I want to share Frank's site is more on the serious side, for those that haven't heard of it and who might harbor a secret - big or small. Maybe even one that hurts them day after day, one that makes them feel like they can't talk to anyone.
Post Secret has been going for around 7 years, and everyone I talked to so far has never of heard of it, they laughed or thought the idea was crazy, others are now addicted and have posted their own secret.
Holding on to something traumatic, kills you inside. Life shouldn't have to be like this, and if my little post even just reaches one person, then it is well worth it. <3
Post Secret has helped so many people, and it might help you too, whether you decide to send your secret in, or, if you read others who have a same/similar secret - making you feel not alone.

been a fan of this for quite some time! (2008? 09?)

i used to rent out the compilations at the library and find other people's secrets inside, sometimes quite tragic secrets.

left my own in one of them, then the next time i rented them out again, they were all gone sad

@ brunetteyes, no problem! And ikr, post secret totally has that effect!

@ sakkaf, you never know, someone may have mailed them to Frank! I know that's happened a few times xD

I have heard of this project, a few years ago. Some of the secrets I read were quite heart-breaking and I remember one made me quite angry.
You definitely get mixed feelings about these secrets.
I think it's a great project. :)
