Saber Lily Armour?

Hey, Lolwut here. 8D

I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips and ideas as to how I can make this thing and what I need to watch out for. orz I have never sewn or made a costume in my whole entire life, so I thought I might give it a try on Saber, the lily version.

... Or is it too difficult? ;o;

xDD hahaha I've been working on this costume, was doing it for Auckgeddon comps but couldn't finish the armour in time (assignments etc.) 8'D

Try looking for a dress pattern similar to her dress and modify it to fit the design, there are quite a lot of options on how her over dress is done, just pick the option that you think is easiest to work with.

Wonderflex is pricey, so can try using craft foam for the armour instead, theres lots of armour tutorials floating about and it's pretty easy to work with, its just about drafting up and shaping the patterns to fit the shapes.

A tip for the armour, before you start making it try and figure out how it'll attach to the outfit first or it'll be extremely troublesome later on

Although, I thought about it for a while... Maybe I should do this in the distant future. orz It seems WAY too hard, hahaha... ;; I should try something easier to begin with, then maybe make this like, two years later or something... |D;;

Armour trick: test EVERYTHING on EVERYTHING. Reason being that plastic chemistry is sickeningly fickle, sometimes the foam would react differently with a new brand of something else. Generally speaking solvent based paint are bad idea but they can be used in some instance too.
