[AUCK] Auckland Homestuck meetup #2

Facebook group for Auckland Homestucks!
I'd like to keep as any people in the one place as possible
just because I'm a 8utt that gets confused about people easily ;v;

On April fool's (the first), we're gonna meet in Auckland City at Aotea Square at 10-11AM. If it rains, we'll meet in Britomart
We seriously don't have any permanent plans yet, but this is what we've come up with so far:

cosplaying
chalk-drawing
going to the park/domain
going to the playground around Myers Park hopefully
maybe ice-skating, but probably won't work in. Still!
karaoke even?
and scalemates for those who requested them a little while back, since Thea is gr8!!!!!!!! (remember your buttons!)

Nothing is set in stone and we need suggestions for stuff to happen! Seriously, if you think it'd be neat if we did x activity in x place or anything really, tell us! c8

FOR LATE-COMERS!
If you think you might be late, PLEASE say so that we sorta know whether to hang around where ever we chose to meet up. Last time we sat around for maybe an hour I think, but yeah try be on time obviously!

So yeah, keep checking this space I guess, I'll keep updating it when we get new ideas or whatever.

If it's not raining, I'd really like to meet up in Aotea Square because well,,,
Metro is dark and I get confused and I can't see people well in there, but Aotea Square is right beside it and it's easy to see people because outdoors and wide space! Also we won't have a security guard staring at us in a LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOMESTUCK disdainful way, just a lot of confused passers-by
If it is raining I wouldn't like to potentially ruin anyone's body paint so it'll be Metro

Also 11 a.m is about the average time to turn up.

About the scalemates, I've also discovered it's best to sew the buttons on before the head is attached. If you guys don't mind, I'll take some time while there to sew the eyes in and then have to sew the heads on, but if you'd rather have a complete scalemate and attach the buttons somehow that way, just let me know.
Also don't have buttons that are too big? Sorry if it's late to say that xD;;; but 2cm diameter is about the correct size c:

I'm gonna come!

I think we shouldn't meet in Metro, though. In the last month or so they've made new rules (or at least new signage) for the food court saying you can't sit in it if you're not eating stuff from the places there, so we'd be hard-pressed to get away with being there unless we all spontaneously bought Burger King. :B

So, yeah... sunny = Aotea Square, raining... should probably be Britomart or something, idk. But I don't think Metro is much of an option for large derpy non-eating-based gatherings any more.

on another note, i think it'd be cool if we went to one of the karaoke places in Queen st, or something!!

also what's everyone cosplaying? I can't decide if I'll be Jake again, or human!Eridan.

Going to be Gamzee or own design Snowman. Im unsure about Snowman as when the day is over I have to walk up Wakefield ST in Heels and I'm wearing a corset.

I like Aotea Square it sounds good if the weather holds that day!
For time I think maybe 10am? unless were doing stuff at night?

so, guys, who's ready for another beautiful meeting of homestucks and pigeons? $5 says we can stack 5 on top of each other this time. it'd also provide another opportunity to test if cosplaying dave is the most surefire way to become a nesting site.

Sweet jegus more pigeons xD They have no issue with sitting on your head, I had five squabbling for space up there when I went back with some old bread. They're actually pretty good about pooping on you, so nobody's cosplay is gonna be wrecked all that much.

Also for some reason I really want to go to a playground and bum around for a bit! There's one in Myers Park which is really close to Queen St, or there's another down at the wharf which is more ocean-themed if there's a seadweller or two attending ;D

I'm not sure where we could go for chalk drawing, but Myers Park has a lot of pavements too.

If it's raining, obviously those plans get canned and we'd need something indoors-y, but that's not really my forte oops ;;;

If anyone wants to play pranks, make sure they're relatively harmless! Also make sure they're not too offensive to the general public. Jumping out and startling members of the group is cool, abandoning one person in a bathroom is not. Think them over carefully!
Also I shouldn't have to say, but buckets are of course banned :3

Also gonna be Matryoshka Aradia, all my legit cosplays are packed away :C
