[AUCK] Auckland University Cosplay Club O-week. Need cosplayers to come and walk

HIHI Everyone! Very Happy

We have a Cosplay Club in University Of Auckland now! Laughing

And in the first week of next semester start, we will have our club stall in Auckland University City campus to collect memebers and telling everyone there is a Cosplay Club exist!

So we are gona need a lot of cosplayers as many as possible to dress up and walk around in AU or just standing around our club stall to support us! nyahaha

You don't have to be a student in University of Auckland, it's pretty simple for u guys, just like a party week at AU!

And of course, in these 5 days, u can come any day u want, there are no restrictions or anything, but still, plz don't do anything dangerous since if u r there then u r representing our cosplay club!!!

So any suggestions or questions? Plz post here if u r keen!

Unfortunately I don't have a costume... How much does joining cost?

I think I saw two people walking around in period outfits... perhaps Regency Era? I wasn't too sure, I think they were from the Roleplay club...

Cost 5 to join, will get a membership card and other benifits. Don't know anything about roleplay club lol, we don't have any people dress up in au now. And well, if u want to come and u don't have any costumes, it's fine as well, maybe u could create a board hand sign and write something like" Join the cosplay club" or just "Cosplay club" with a picture on it would be all good!

There is a role play club at Auckland Uni. I remember seeing them at O-Weeks.

I completely forgot about the AU Cosplay Club debuting at Sem2 O-Week!! Will you have lots of flyers that we could hand out?

I cant wait to get involved in the club! Will the club get discounts anywhere? And who's in the committee?? Anyone from the Dessert Club?

u should set up with a colourful wigs on wig stands! And lots of awesome cosplay photos with anime/gaming/other titles to get people excited!

@brunetteyes: I don't think we r giving out flyers since we don't have a lot of club money, but we will get lot people walking around with our club hand sign! And we r thinking about getting discount from next semester since we havent actually doing anything yet!
And, no, i don;t think there r anyone from dessert club except u and me! Currently committe memebers r only 4 of us, u only know me and nadiah.
Of course! I will get people excit with our banner and pictures and everything! Actually i will put u in the committe meeting as well, see if u will be able to come!

All the stalls will be located in the quad which is the centre point of the uni where you can buy food. (close to the Uni gym and Science block)

If you've just cut across the road from Albert Park, then just walk into the campus where u see benches and tables and a random raised bit of grass. Walk to the end and turn right. And you're there!

What kind of club events are you thinking of doing? -curious-

I'm interested in joining~ though probably won't be in cosplay since I'll be painting in my course and I tend to get myself covered in paint. >.>''

Ohh, yeah,if u r not an au student, then will cost $6, lol, beside the CNZ events, we will also orgnize activities combining with other clubs in au, and maybe something else!

Do you think maybe you should perhaps make it a cosplay/ anime club of some sort? I mean, cosplay generally isn't anime-only ofcourse, but most people who know anime tend to know cosplay as well. And it seems a bit odd how there is no anime club, but a cosplay club around.

I know a Japanese club exists somewhere, but I've never seen them around campus.

You could also try asking the Kiwi Asians, considering most of the Asian population are familiar with anime.

I could bring some of my wigs around... although the last time I brought my wigs for my friends to try, most of them ended up becoming quite tangled. xD;

There is already a anime club exist, but it's empty, even through, ausa does not allow people to replacing it or have the same club goal. But we can host a lot of anime events anyway, there is just a name problem, but stillcosplay is our main thing! There r also two kind of japanese groups exist, one doesn't do anything as well.
And it would be great if u can come to o-week to support!!

oooh could we hav anime viewings in one of the lecture theatres?? that would b so awesome XD

i loved watching the girl who lept through time last year in the library basement. i think it was organised by the japanese club.

and sorry zyjsuyu, im not sure if can attend the meeting tomorrow cuz im going to the Glow Party tonight. I've got Ben's number though in case I can :)

Really? I didn't know we had an anime club at all.
