OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!

Wow. I spent about half an hour chewing boyfriend's nails in the middle there! (Don't chew my own!)

So I've decided to marry Christian Bale, and take Chris Nolan as my pool boy.

Joker? Wowoowowowow. No adjectives suffice. It wasn't JUST the acting, don't let anyone tell you that. It was the script, the plans, the makeup, the outfit, the choreography, the cinematography, the complete and utter adoration of both Batman and chaos. The hair! Now, everyone knows that the Joker has green hair. Lesser directors have simply handed over flouro green wigs. But this Joker had green hair in that a long time ago, his hair was died a ghastly green. Or possibly was bleached and then he went swimming too much. And then it grew, and it got dirty and then the green faded and it's not until about 3/4 of the way through the film when you get a close up in good light you're like "Hey, his hair is green!"

Harvey Dent was everything that he needed to be. Batman's outfit was just as silly as ever. Alfred was brilliant. The love interest was plucky (but that's all she was really there for). The explosions were fantastic. The script was one of the best scripts I've ever seen. Seriously. And I live with a film geek.

But the Joker TOTALLY stole the show. He knows, you know. He knows that there's only one thing worse than bad people doing bad things. And it's good people doing bad things.

mm it was good, but as i was complaining to my friend, The Batman has practically no character developement whatsoever ~_~; He just stands there and gets hurt feelings.

I REALLY need to go see this film, I've heard some pretty good reviews.

Edit: Batman doesn't need CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! That's what the first movie was for. xDD

Actually yeah, that was kinda lame. And the set up for Gordon's son. That was kinda lame. It's always been Gordon's daughter/neice that ended up working with Batman.

I really dont care. Oh my goodness, some movie star is acting like a human being, like the messed up, screwed up, insensitive hurtful voilent things we are. Oh shock horror. He's human. Never would have guessed.

I'm not condoning what people said he did I just can't figure out WHY we have to hear about it. There is genocide going on in the world people! More wives and children are abused in the world than just the people in Hollywood but THEY don't get reported on for 6 weeks straight in international media. No. Maybe if they did we wouldn't need adds pointing out that it's not ok!

I can think he's a good actor and completely gorgous without knowing anything about his personal life and I try to maintain that policy for all people-who-are-famous-for-being-famous.

Mm good philosophy and one that i compeltely agree with. I hate hearing what britney or whoever have done lately (i include sports starts in that) when there is so much more important stuff that could be bought to the attention of the masses.

I thought it was amazing!
I agree that the Joker was incredible. I thought what they did with his hair was pretty awesome too. And the bit with the nurse outfit was so funny.

Yay for the NEW batman movies. The OLD Batman movies were made of camp and whatever Burton had been smoking lately and who the blazes made the artistic call on the nipples on the Batsuits??!?

Think so yeah, but always been a little bit of a Batman fan.

Though don't really hate the movie per say, on the good side it had excellent acting, good storyline, amazing characters but just didn't like the way Batman was Portrayed he was meant to be some hero, some guardian of the people of Gotham city but he was pushing people off buildings and slamming people's heads on the table..

Just think that Batman Guardian or Hero that he should be a role-model or a leader somebody can people can look up too, and he gave up easily as well as soon as the Joker was found out, Batman was like ' I give up''

The Cartoon Batman on Saturday mornings isn't like that, he was nice he helped the Riddler when was trapped and even stayed with him, this Batman would of pushed the Riddler in the crate and would of watched him untill he suffocated and died..

But can understand why people enjoyed the film, because it was made so darn well, there was really no annoying actor, good music, good everything.

And kind of love the 1988 original, It's always been a special movie..

This Batman wouldnt kill anyone. He's happy to scare them into thinking it though! The Joker knows that he's perfectly safe with Batman and says so. He says something like "I know how you work" he knows Batman wont kill him.

Fear has always been a major part of Batman. He's not too fond of it but he deals with it. He has a big grouch at Superman about it once. Superman can afford to paint a bullseye on his chest and stand in the light and tell people off - nothing can hurt him!
Batman is just a human. His entire act depends on no-one beleiving it and thinking he's some kind of demon. Especially the criminals. He has to stand in the dark and scare the shit out of the crooks. He needs the 5 seconds of terror to kick as many of them in the ribs as possible before they remember they have guns.

Superman is to inspire the good guys. Batman isn't for that. Superman is the hero we should all try to be like. Batman has never been for that. Batman has been for scaring you straight. Always has been, always will be.

Batman (outside of those terrible terrible films and some weird times in the very early days) never ever kills people. And would help the Riddler out. Of course. And this Batman did too. He caught Joker when he fell off the building and when no-one would have argued if he said there was nothing he could do.

But the Saturday morning cartoon is aimed at kids. These films are suppossed to be realistic, what would happen if Batman happened in the real world. In the real world there would be a warrant for his arrest in about 15 minutes!

And in the 1988 original, Batman kills an entire hideout of people without a whisper of protest!!

Yeah guess your right, Yeah of course the cartoon is aimed for kiddies xd -I didn't really like the movie because it was more real, than the the films that were made in the early 90's..
Kind of like Fantasy type films, with some type of balance - not hard out straight real..
Because isn't going to see a movie , for escaping ? To get away from the real world for a while ?

Because think it would be cheaper to stand outside and get realsim that way, save $25 ..

I don't know, I'm just a fussy character that likes to be different and dislikes over-poplaur stuff that everybody else enjoys, It's just who I am, which may sound werid to most people, That's why I dislike that white-haired guy from Bleach, why because everybody else worships the guy..

w00t! I've finally seen it!!!

...and throughout the whole movie I was waiting for Heath Ledger to break into that silly grin of his from '10 Things I Hate About You'

Although the voice didn't sound a thing like him, whenever his face came up on the screen i was all 'HEATH LEDGER! chuu~!

Even at the very start, I knew it was him under the mask...
(I think mainly 'cause the only other movie I've seen of him was 10 Things so... hmm....)

was this just me? I went with mandie_chan and my bff but neither of them really noticed... >.<;;;;;

One of the things I loved about TDK was that I had trouble remembering it was Heath Ledger under all the makeup!
