cosplay at Mangere East Library

We are currently in the process of organising our annual Mangere East Christmas festival, which we hope will incorporate a number of performances and activities which would be fun for all the family. I was wondering if any of the members of the SPCC cosplay society would be interested in taking part in this event? No performance would be needed, but we know many of the local kids who would love to see an aspiring cosplayer dressed up in their awesome costumes.

On November 26, 2011 the community of Mangere East will be holding our annual Mangere East Xmas Festival, full of fun, colour and vibrant entertainment.

The last few events have seen a wonderful mix of culture, age, genre and ethnicity to mirror, celebrate and showcase our diverse community here in Mangere East. We’ve seen many different groups perform from NZ hip-hop celebrities Smashproof to traditional Easter Island dance, Papatoetoe North Primary School kapahaka to Aorere College Samoan Group.

We in Mangere East are proud of where we’re from and where we live, and we would love for you to join us on our day of celebration.

This year the ‘Mangere East Xmas Festival 2011’ will be held in the Mangere East Village Green (Massey rd, next to the Mangere East Library, opposite KFC), on Saturday 26th of November from 10am-2pm. (yes ...election day!)
