NaNoWriMo '11

As NaNoWriMo is starting in two weeks, I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread to discuss it and later on bemoan our fates. (mods, I wasn't sure whether this would fit better in CNZ Related or Discussions?)

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month and the aim is to write 50,000 words in November for a novel. A good page to look at if you want better information is this.

So is anyone else planning to do it? What do you think your novel will be about?

Doing a Mass Effect Fanfic- will be the major plot for my Graphic Novel, but I'm using Nanowrimo to actually flesh it all out.

I've signed on for the Palmy group. How about you?

i'm gonna be a masochist and try to compete this year right off the back of finishing my novel for school but cheat by trying for 50k worth of short stories instead of a novel. i never want to write another novel ever again.

definitely doing it this year after my exams finish! unsure whether i'll try to finish something i have or start a new story, but if so i think i'll do a high-fantasy novel as it's been a while since i've written anything such. (:
