[AUCK] Cosplay and Sewing classes

If I decided to teach general sewing and cosplay classes, would anyone turn up?

Is anyone interested in this sort of thing?

To the Mods, I wasn't sure whether this was the right place to put this thread.

where would it be? would it just be general sewing basics or specific to whatever cosplay people bring?

i'd be happy to come along with sewing to do and socialise ^^

That's very cool to hear people are interested!
I'm still working out details of when I am free and how much it should cost because of materials and time but it will be reasonable. I want people to have fun and gain awesome skills from this!

Well I was planning on classes so it will be more than just once. The day and time doesn't have to be set in stone. I'll just do them when most people are free.

They will be done at my place because all of my stuff is there.

I was planning on starting with basics and things that people really should know.
And then as we go along if people want to learn things specific to their cosplay then that's very welcome.

Could do.

The very first few hours or whatever can be basic sewing skills etc, then people can request things that they want to learn.
You know, just getting to know where everyone is, what they already know, what they want to know, what they want to improve on, etc.

People can bring their own fabrics if they want, any unwanted fabric would be a great thing to have, for practicing and such, but that's what I was planning to use the money from these classes on. Fabric, zips, etc, and of course, lunch.

During Uni the weekend is really the only time. Over the summer hols though I think most days would be fine.

All I have is the amateur sewing skills I was taught at the start of high school, always a handy thing to know. wouldn't mind extending knowledge in it, you can count me in too

I'd be interested, depending on if I can get the fuel to come.

I have about 200+ Zips and a box of buttons and stuff I inherited from my grandmother when she moved house. I can bring/donate some of those for that in lue of payment if that is possible. (Just got fired x.x)
