Uhm...

My name's Ash and I live in Auckland but I'm originally from the UK. I'm 16 and am new to cosplay.
My favourite anime/manga are Gravitation, Full Metal Alchemist, UraBoku, Hana and Bakuman.

I live in the Franklin area and it feels soooooooooooooo far away from anywhere=P so I would love eventually to join a group. I have yet to make/buy a costume (too many choices>.<) So if anyone can help me there i would be sooo grateful.

Welcome to CNZ! :). I have not watched any of the anime/manga you have mentioned... As for advice, just pick a character you love (& think you can pull off) and go for it :). I'm all for the making of costumes (have never just bought one before), but I guess explore your options and see what suits you in terms of how much time and money you want to spend on it. Hope you have fun getting into cosplay and getting to know people on here :).
