Any Auckland University people here?

Hey guys

So I'm pretty new to cosplay; have done it occasionally (mostly non-anime characters, I cosplayed a few years back as the Joker from the Dark Knight.) Last year I went to Armageddon as Dib from Invader Zim, but so far my repertoire is untested.

ANYways, I want to know who here is at Auckland University? I joined the Cosplay Club when they had their little stall out, but I didn't know anyone who was in it, and the idea of showing up to events where you don't know ANYone is kind of daunting.

So I thought I'd see how many I can get to know online first; to make it easier nodnod

Raise your hand if you are at Auckland Uni, or anyone who wants to chat, really :)

Some basic info of stuff I like:
Star Wars
Pokemon (the first 151, I haven't played anything after Yellow Embarassed

)
Trinity Blood
Cowboy Bebop (still watching it)
Ancient History (Egypt, Rome, etc)
Scott Pilgrim (movie first, then read the comic - both are awesome in their own way)
And lots of other stuff I can't think of right now

First year Physics student reporting in. Also joined the club without knowing anyone in it. Club emperor Yu Cheng got me to join with his geass. ｗｗ

Yu Cheng can be pretty assertive, huh? xD His enrolment tactics both scare and amuse~
Anyway, welcome to the forums! 8D My name's Nadi and I'm a first year arts student at AU.
I was at the club stall all days :3 I was, uh, ...the only girl there that wasn't asian xDDD

We should get to know each other :3 AU cosplayers should stick together~
We're planning on having a photoshoot event in about 3 weeks time so don't be stranger! x3

I came by one day to sign up; I am guessing that Yu Cheng was the lad in the pseudo-military white suit a lot of the time? I don't know who he was cosplaying, but the outfit was definitely cool.

I'll come by the photoshoot - at the very least to meet people and get to know the group a bit more; I might not have a cool enough costume in that time, but we'll see :)

Welcome to CNZ! I was at the cosplay club stall on friday, and some of the posters, + I'm yucheng's friend, so I'm kinda a club member, even though I don't go to AU =D. Just out of curiosity, what are you studying there? Something to do with ancient history or classics?

(oh and I totally agree about the scott pilgrim movie + comics being individually awesome. I saw the movie first too, and after reading the comics I thought it was actually quite a successful compression of the events.)

Anyway, I might see you around at some cosplay club stuff. Ta-ta!

I don't go to Auckland University but I like those things too (love your avatar Very Happy

) So hi! I am also fairly new to cosplay and don't really know anybody very well.

I rushed by the stall a dozen times over the two weeks because I always seem to be in a rush without thinking twice because I haven't cosplayed for years. Then I was hit with a sudden need to do a certain costume, so I'm back into production. I thought it would be nice to meet some like minded people who aren't scared to dress up! How do I sign up now that the stall's gone? Thanks for any help you can give me!

I'm also perfectly willing to meet with people for lunch or tea or anything and discuss anime/ TV shows and the like!

:) i was at the stall most of the days and I love meeting new people! I was also on one of the posters..
I've never played Pokemon (only watched) but ive cosplayed from it ---->

I'm a second year mechanical engineering student. What do u study?

@SquishyBlo - I do study Ancient History, right now I'm doing Honours in Egyptology.

I assume you guys like to do a big event at Armageddon, right? 'Cause that'd be awesome and a really good way to get people to join :)
