Need help finding dress pattern! By Nivardica. 14/07/11, 12:09 pm |
| Im going to be cosplaying Nurse Joy and I need a pattern to at least base my dress off of. If there is a tutorial for an alice in wonderland dress that would be helpful. The dresses are similar. I have looked everywhere and im not even really sure what kind of dress or top I need to be looking for here.
Any help is appreciated. |

| I've seen patterns for sale based on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Edit: After doing a bit of Googling, it just occured to me that while there aren't a lot of "Alice" tutorials around, there are a lot of gothic lolita patterns and tutorials around. Most of them use the are very similar to the Victorian Alice, so you could look through those to find one that suits you.
You could also try the free patterns on http://m-sewing.com/

| I use sewingpatterns.com its pretty much a data base of different patterns. Can be a bit annoying to navigate sometimes but other than that its pretty decent
You should be able to find something similar in the costume sections of pattern books, many of them have ones that are supposed to be Alice from AiWL, and Nurse Joy's is the same with the puff sleeves and peter pan collar I think its called.
So yea, best best is to look in fabric shops at their pattern books and such. Also second hand/op shops might have patterns, I managed to find one for my Persona 3 Alice in an op shop for 50c. An unused pattern from the 70s lmao. Another place is TradeMe, lots of people sell patterns for cheap on there.
