| Double sided tape? Maybe fake nail glue? xDD (never used it, so I don't know how strong it is or if it would work, but you use it on your nails?? xDD)
Or like Hollywood tape (used to keep dresses on), but I don't know if it's stronger than double sided tape. Hollywood tape is kinda expensive ;; |

| DON'T USE FAKE NAIL GLUE. That stuffs actually super glue D;
Depending on how heavy the jewel is you could is eyelash glue if its light, if its quite heavy then Spirit gum will keep it on~ |

| I think Hollywood tape is pretty much just expensive double-sided tape. That being said, I've never used Hollywood tape, but I don't see why it would be any better than double sided tape...
But like Icarus has said, nail glue would be a bad idea and eyelash glue/spirit gum would be good options. And double-sided tape is definitely worth a try, because you can buy it really cheap at $2 shops, and even if it doesn't work you'll undoubtedly find some other use for it (it is UNBELIEVABLY HANDY.) |

| I've used Hollywood tape once, and I found it didn't really work... but admittedly, I wasn't trying to stick something to my stomach; I was trying to hold my ball dress in place, haha. It could be fine on something lighter than a full length formal dress.
I haven't used eyelash glue, but spirit gum should definitely work. c: Just be careful taking it off (get the remover?), and don't accidentally get it on clothing. > >; |

| seconding eyelash glue/spirit gum. if you do use eyelash glue, bring extra along just in case it pops off. because of how your torso moves i can guarantee the glue will stress a bit. |

| I use spirit gum for the gem on my Rosa costume - works like a charm. :3 Don't get the water soluble stuff though - it doesn't work (or at least, didn't for me). |

| Thanks guys! I think I might go with eyelash glue but in case that doesn't work, where can I get spirit gum from and how would I be able to get it off? |

| safest bet is to get it online i think?? pretty sure i've seen some on trademe before, and i know you can get it off ebay, not to mention specialty websites. i think you may be able to get it from halloween stores but that depends on your luck since not all of them stock it. removal is with spirit gum remover |

| Minifies.co.nz is where mine is from. :) You can remove it with spirit gum remover but unless I'm pulling off something fragile I usually just rip it off. Removes a bit of skin, but no big deal! |D It does scrub off, too (but again, losing the top layer of skin in the process). |

| Spirit gum all the way. If you're in Auckland, Tricks magic shop on Albert St sometimes has it in (it's really hit and miss, but you could try ringing). If not, Minifies is where they get theirs from anyway!
If the jewel is quite big and heavy, I doubt eyelash glue will hold it- but it's certainly a good option if you can't get a hold of spirit gum (and will be a bit cheaper, and you can find it at almost any Farmers store/pharmacy!).
Edit: Also that costume is adorable |
