[Other] Wanted: Anything for Silent Auction- Funds to NZEQ

Hi Guys n Gals, Very Happy

As part of the ACB a few of us will be running a Silent Auction in order to raise funds for the Christchurch Earthquake- proceeds go to the NZEQ charity as chosen by the person who originally donated the item for the auction.

Note: A Silent Auction is one where the Items are placed on a display, and a Clipboard is placed in front of it, where you write down your name and how much you want to bid. Then the next person comes along and reads the clipboard, and goes down to the bottom of the list to see the highest bid, then they can write their own name and bid on the clipboard (providing the bid is higher than all previous ones). Sound simple? If not, post a question on it below.

Anyway I'm after goods that people want to donate for this cause, which can be displayed on the night of the Ball (July 20th). Because these items will be on display, I'm looking for items that are at least greater than $10, and that have some "OMG I want that Now!!!" value. For such items, I will personally cover the cost of postage/handling, to get them to Auckland to one of our organizers. If the value is <$10, then the item will probably not go on display, but we can advertise it in the online Silent Auction thread, with pics for bidding, you hold on to it until the bidding is over and the charity paid, then you send it to the successful bidder directly. Also, if we get too many items for the display at the ball, we may have to be selective, so please do not be offended.

All items in the Silent Auction will then continue online bidding in CNZ for a week after Overload. Once
bidding closes, the successful bidders will be notified and have a period of two weeks to make the payment to the charity, after which the item will be sent to them.

If you're interested in donating an item- please post a pic of your item below, and say whether you're okay with it going up for display at the Auckland Cosplay Ball. Please only donate an item if you are the sole owner of said item... do not post a pic of your annoying brother's lava lamp.... or your annoying brother. Questions? Clarification? Also post below as well.

I apologise for the Technical Double Post- but I actually do have some things I want to post up for the Silent Auction... which also serves as an example of the Format. NB: I will add items to this post as I find/decide on them.

*Bump* So... no replies for over a week. But thats okay, given that its so close to ACB, I'm gonna limit last minute donations to Auckland Cosplayers only- just bring stuff on the night if you can't put a pic in here.
