[Bioshock] Little Sisters

Shot on the Wellington Waterfront after dark last month :) Presenting Keyshachan and iwuvanime as little sisters from Bioshock!

These are such beautiful shots of gorgeous/creepy ladies!

If it's okay to ask, how much colour retouching, if any, do you do on night time shots? They're so vivid, it's awesome. But I guess that's the wonders of kick-ass lighting more than anything? I really know nothing about night shoots. orz

Actually not that much. A lot of it is light temperature - the third one for example was up against the glass door of a parking building with fluro lights, which are a horrible green colour temp. Worked for this, though! Most of the light is ambient - the second image I used a flash for, but I ditched it for the rest :) Luckily this little lens is pretty amazing, so I didn't get too much noise. Yay!

That's so awesome! Ahhh, really makes me want to try night photography out.

So I take it a few of the shots are the cosplayers crouching and you shooting across the ground? Great work for night work as well :)

Phew, there we go - lost the images there for a sec, I wasn't sure which shots you were talking about :9 Nope, no shooting across the ground in these ones; I was sitting shooting up in the first and the last I was leaning on the wall beside the girls. It's one of those wall lights in Frank Kitts, by the ramp up from the waterfront - Kylie did an awesome job of twisting around and confusing the viewer, apparently! :) And thank you very much - still getting used to shooting at night, being able to stop up to 1.8 makes a world of difference!
