makina's sword + scabbard

i'm not too confident about making a sword with a scabbard like makinas but the decorations on the handle etc im not too worried about.
if anyone has a tutorial or some guidance they can give me on how to make a slim sword + scabbard it would be really helpful.
i'd like to actually be ablke to pull the sword out etc ^^

or if it seems too hard for me i might want to ask someone to commission the basic sword+scabbard and just do the details myself.. sweatdrop

Have you thought about buying a base sword from the $2 shop and bulding off of that? I'm not too experienced with props, haha, so just an idea.

I see it, it's pretty much japanese sword. most easy way is buying it directly and paint the colour you need.
