The scene isn't dead it's just hard to schedule meet ups when there isn't really anywhere central to meet up at. Plus lots of people have problems at home (due to the earthquakes) to deal with.

I'll be going and entering the comp. Saturday I'll be going as High School Usagi (Sailor Moon) and for sunday and the comp I'll be going as Sera Myu (musical)! Eternal Sailor Moon along with a friend going as Sera Myu! Super Sailor Mars.

I'm cosplaying school!Motochika on the Saturday and default!Motochika on the Sunday, Motochika being from Sengoku Basara.

(maybe this year, now the game+anime have been released in NZ, people will recognize my cosplay. orz)

We are all here, most of us are going to ChchGeddon (Me too), it's just that the earthquake took out our regular meeting place so it's a bit hard to organize regular meeting currently. sweatdrop

Sometimes, we meet up still, if someone organizes something and if we can all find a place get together etc. nodnod
