Saix Claymore Help/tips

Hai there, I need tips on how to make this

Spoiler:

im new to the whole making EXtreme weapons deal so I was thinking id make the body from plywood and the spikes and outer rim from Foam
so does anyone know any good foam selling places, in Auckland or in NZ, also If any one could help me with the whole How to get the diagonal upper cut on it (im not the best with power tools) and what tool you would recommend for making that cut with

you're gonna need some thick foam if you're gonna be doing that... perhaps you could mock it up out of paper, then make it out of craft foam + stuff the inside? or paper mache or something like that. I'm not sure you'll be able to find foam that thickness and then be able to cut/sand/whatever it down

id suggest using carboard..if you were to do a mock one XD...
and as stated by paini , you could fill it ...and cover with craft foam ..
i truely wish you goodluck with this....looks alot harder than the sitar i'm making >.<

were does I get craft foam??

Craft foam can be purchased at Warehouse stationary for around $4 for a pack of 10 or so..
although they are only around A4 sheets..

i am not tooo sure how much it costs for bigger bits
