"Metal" Arm for costume

Just trying to get ideas to create a metal arm for my Full Metal Alchemist costume of Edward.
I dont HAVE to have one, but would like to get as close to the actual costume as i can, If its not possible for me ill just glove my hand and keep it covered.

But at the moment my idea is a full hand/arm glove, with metal cutting ( shaped to match ed's arm) but i dont quite know how im going to do it.... Maybe even plastic... Or i could buy a cheap one pre made, idk, its so complicated... any suggestions would be nice

THAT is an awesome auto mail arm... Im not that talented but I will definetly take a crack at it. Thanks for that TuT, other Advice would be appreciated to! i dont have much artistic talents so ill see what i can pull off
