Looking for Wellington Cosplay People

Hi all,
I'm a video journalist for stuff.co.nz

I'm looking to do a story this week in the lead up to Wellington Armageddon about the Cosplay sub-culture, who you are, what you do and how you prepare your costumes.

If anyone would be happy to talk to me I would be greatly appreciative, so leave a message on this post.

Welcome to the forums! I'm an Aucklander heading down for Wellington Armageddon, so if an email interview would help at all just let me know - though as a video journalist I suspect it may not be much help somehow. sweatdrop

EDIT: Oh holy heck, I totally forgot we had Hamish set as a swear filter (old inside joke) - I'll remove it now, hahah. Sorry about that - if you use the word 'Hamish' it should display just fine now.

There are plenty of us down in Wellington. Most of us will be at Armageddon this weekend, all decked out and ready to camera whore Very Happy

yeah thats cool, however I'm looking to do a lead in story during the week to go live on Friday Morning so think any of the Wellington people would be keen to talk to me on camera? Would need an hour of there time max.

Welcome. :) Yup, there's quite a few cosplayers in Wellington. Are you looking to interview in person or a series of questions online?

Edit: Never mind, just saw your reply about video interview. I would assume you'd be looking to interview in costume?

Not looking to interview the person in costume necessarily, really just want someone to show me how they put them together, give me an idea about how much time, research etc goes into it. I have alot of footage from last years Auckland Armageddon so was looking to use that in the story.

I am free on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after 12pm and before 4pm if that works, and can bring another cosplayer along with me as well, if that helps. :)

Hamish - As myself and mightydelemma both live together, this might work best! :) There's three of us at our place of residence that cosplay and have costumes that can be used. If you send me a private message (MP) here we can discuss it more. ^_^
