I will laugh so much if I hear Zac Efron is Light and Robert Pattinson is L.

I know it will be hilarious but Zac efron does not look unlike Yagami but Robert patterson for L? that would suck!!!!

I hope this American Death Note never happens... There's already a Japanese one, why do the Americans need to steal it? I know it has a great plot and will be seen by a wider audience... but still >.<

Yeah, I must say though, I'm also a little tentative about this. I always hoped they'd make a DBZ movie, and now that there's one out, I've never seen it because I've heard such horrible things about it.

One point to note about Avatar though (the last Airbender), I'm pretty sure that was an english cartoon to begin with, so it wasn't like it's been screwed up in translation though

Lets face it, I guess we can take it as a compliment - Hollywood has bled every other resource to death, they have now found and are using an entirely new an untapped resource for their ideas. Anime.

Unless the trailer blows my perverted little mind, I wont be watching it, and if it does, I in no way shape or form will be expecting anything like the current D'Note. I will be expecting Hollywood, and Zac, and both probably at their cheapest.
