Wondering how to make this By Rehtse. 07/01/11, 12:56 pm |
| Hey, so, thought I'd ask since I'm new to this kind of thing and I'd probably get it wrong if I don't. I really hope I haven't asked the forum this already
mmk, I wanna make the cross attached to her shirt:
- Spoiler:
But I don't pretend to be an expert at that sort of thing I'd like it to be light, so the fabric doesn't sag when I glue it on. How do you guys think I should go about making it?
Very much obliged :) |

| Actually, see those little black lines - they could be thread. It could be neatly sewn on like a button if you think glue might make a mess of the dress. O: Just an idea.
You could make a thinnish model out of fimo. But if that ends up too heavy I'd say maybe balsa wood? |

| Also super light is paper clay, and this stuff called Super Clay (it's like foam clay!). |

| @ Ravin: Ah, those black lines don't actually exist. That's 'cause of the person's editing >_> Sorry! All the photos without editing were teensy. @ Everyone: Thank you for the suggestions, I'll look into all of them :) |

| If you're making it from paper clay or similar, you can also look at whether it's worth embedding a pin clasp of some form, or even a couple of small safety pins into it so you can take it off when you want to (or for cleaning). |
