JPop/Anime dances this thursday

UPDATE:

Dance is same time and place as last time!!

Because I have so much to do and am running out of time to get things done, dance is moving to every second thrusday. Once I work out a schedule I'll post it.

Ok so the plan at the moment is THIS thursday at the Hub, starting at 5:00pm. We won't be too long because I'll have been on my feet all day so maybe an hr to an hr and a half (depending on how much fun we'll be having). Remember to bring shoes/clothes to dance in, a USB stick if you want a copy of the dances, a water bottle and yourself. We have to be out of the place by 6:30pm at the latest.

So some of you might know that I've been learning some anime/Jpop dances to get fit and to have fun. Some of you have expressed interest in learning these along with me, so I've decided to start up some 'lessons' so to speak for you to learn them with me.
So far the dances I know are:

Moonlight Densetsu - from the Sailor Moon Musicals.
Koi no Victory - Morning Musume (a Jpop girl band)
Minna no Tamago - Shugo Chara Egg! (From the anime Shugo Chara!)

Ones I almost know:

Going On! - Guardians 4 (From the anime Shugo Chara!)
Hajimete no Keiken - Mano Erina (a Jpop soloist)
Sekai Summer Party - Mano Erina (a Jpop soloist)
Onegai Dakara... - Mano Erina (a Jpop soloist)

Ones I love to learn with you:

Omakase Guardian - Guardians 4 (From the anime Shugo Chara!)
Party Time - Guardians 4 (From the anime Shugo Chara!)
Yume Miru 15sai - S/mileage (a Jpop girl band)
Shugo! Shugo! - Shugo Chara Egg! (From the anime Shugo Chara!)
La Soldier - from the Sailor Moon Musicals

All of these songs/dances can be found on youtube if you want to have a look at what you're getting into (I also have copies on my laptop so bring a usb stick with you if you want a copy to practise on your own with during the rest of the week). We'd start off with the ones I know and move on from there. So are you interested? Let me know and a preferred day and we'll go from there.

haha lol that is awesome Callie. I'm doing Kpop dances to help get fit.

1. Because I've loved Kpop for years.

M4 - pretty much why I started doing them! I got hooked with the songs then I just had to learn the dances!! You should join and we could include Kpop as well! naughty

I know I know but come on the boy groups are just so smexy. Blame arirang for being on our screens for so many years.

And seriously Eunhyuk and Taemin plus meany others are amazing dancers.

It takes me about 2-3 days to learn a dance off youtube if you want me to help teach. Was one year off in dancing to get my teachers letters so I'm almost qualified Razz

yup as soon as im uncapped ill download the clips and then learn them. Should be fun im free after dinner for lessons. Where ever they be.

I'm keen!

I want to start losing weight and getting fit and toned but hopefully keep the cost down too, while having fun. This sounds perfect! Smile

Lol, I have most of those Shugo Chara songs on my Stepmania. Razz

Yeah, you can get just about any song on there. nodnod

I don't have a dance mat for it, I play using my computer keyboard so don't expect me to actually be able to dance to the songs. sweatdrop

I will be there on Thursday for this, I don't have any clothes suitable for dancing in but normal casual clothes will do just as well I guess. nodnod

I can't do 5 sorry at course til 5 then picking up max straight away. Can only really do after tea.

Also I would recommend bringing a towel if you plan to work hard.

RMD - causal clothes are fine - just as long as you can move comfortably in them.

M4 - what time is after tea? and is this every thursday?

6.30 on wards is after tea for me. Max's at preschool up til 5.30 on thursdays. So he goes to bed as soon he gets home. Then I'm free all night.

Don't worry too much - the one we'll start off with is mainly hand actions, so you only have to worry about one thing at a time.

M4 - 6:30 is getting a little late after a full day at work for me. It might change next week but I'll see how things go on thursday.
