Palmerston North sewing get togethers?

I thought this might be a cool idea once people want to start their next lot of costumes. Pretty much all of us palmy cosplayers have sewing machines, so we could all gather at someone's place with them to sew, and possibly get help with aspects we are unsure of. I think it'd be fun, what's people's opinions on this? Does it seem like a silly idea?

I probably won't do this, because I can't really sew with other people around, I get distracted. ^^;

I can't at any point soon, because I have to find a job first and get my health sorted

this is a good point C: I was thinking it would be good for people who want to learn new stuff, but it's cool~ 8D

I am a horrifying sewer, so you dun really wanna witness that.
though I do think this is a good idea~ (I can't really take my sewing machine out there though lol)

I very much like the idea. The only issue would be a location with space and power points...and then getting all your stuff there...
I dun know about everyone else but my sewing machine is frickin heavy.
