Dissidia 2

Square- Enix has given out the news that they are going to make a second Dissidia game, which seems really exciting since the original Dissidia was a huge massive hit. The characters that have been released so far are Kain Highwind from FFIV whee

and Lighting from FF XIII. The title of the Dissidia has got "Duo" in the title, so it may seem like the villains and the heroes may work in pairs this time round, instead of going single versus single ( like for a example Cloud and Zack working together to defeat Genesis and Sephiroth ) It sounds rather interesting. Also another title it has is Dissidia 2012, so it might be a ~~end of the world~~ * cough* 2012 release. ~~If SE don't muck around with it of course.~~

Since characters are now getting slowly announced, I have to ask this question. What FF characters do you want in Dissidia 2 and why ?

I'm hoping for some Vivi, The Tycoon Sisters (FF V) Yuna, Celes, Zack and some Auron ! <3

Also in the main release picture Kain has a mysterious dark shaped wing that he never had before, it seems like of familiar to the designs of the Kingdom Hearts series so does this mean that also SE are planning to add in Kain to KH3 ? I'll try and find the main announcement picture in the next update.

I'm buying a Psp just for this
Only thing i hope they do is Make Gabranth a better fighter
he is pretty terrible in the first one

Addit: Me playing gabranth
Charge = get attacked
Ex mode = enemy running away

though i do admit I'm pretty noob at dissidia >_>

Actually I was hoping Kain would play like Cecil, having Dragoon attacks and Holy Dragoon attacks, basing said character off FFIV: The After Years.

Actually, the fact that Kain's in it has me sold. Having Cyan or Shadow from VI would be a treat too. I'd even settle for Locke.

Dissidia was the game that bricked my psp. Because of that i wont be playing the next one, oh bother~

Edit: Hoping for Marche from FFTA to be in the game on the villain side.

Didn't Nomura say if FFXIII had been in Dissidia, he'd have wanted Sazh as the game's playable character rather than Lightning? Keeping that in mind, I really DO hope that Sazh is in it (He's the only character I truly like in FFXIII).

That being said...Wakka. Yeah, I know Yuna will more than likely be the next FFX representative but I love Tidus and Wakka's lil' bromance and would love to see some duo gameplay with the two of them fighting side-by-side. X3

T^T my psp broke right as I got the game, I still haven't played it despite having it almost a year now ugh. Need a new psp.

We need some good ol' Larsa or Vayne from XII cause they are awesome

Yeah having Sazh in would be pretty fun with the shooting guns and the transformers like summon. Though Lighting is like the main so they might of put Lighting over Sazh because of that reason alone.

It might be Locke because SE wanted to put Kain and Locke in the original Dissidia. If Kain is through, Locke might follow

I found some pictures from the offical website. I think it's instructions on how to play the game, it's from TGS. It only features Lightning and Cain as new Characters but it is a demo ver.

FFVII = Zack and Genesis
FFX = Seymour and Auron

And that's all. Didn't like VIII, so didn't pay much attention. Didn't play IX, either. xD
I'm TOTALLY KEEN for a Zack and Genesis. Those two are complete love. <3333333333333333333333333333 /Fangirls
Auron is also complete love, while Seymour is just a douche. But then again, there is Yuna, who will probably feature rather than Auron. /Glares at Yuna
Either way, I really must get around to finishing the first Dissidia game, at least. xD Got Cloud up to 100 and Tidus up to 78, but haven't even finished the game with Cloud. /Fails

It's silly to put Vaan in - and I say that not because I dislike him, but because he's a minor character. Sure you play as him, but the protagonist of FFXII was originally going to be Basch, but they made up Vaan to meet the demographic. And oooh does it show. Vaan is very little to do with the plot in the grand scheme of things. >_>

Balthier or Basch would have been smarter.

I would have loved if they put in Balthier and Fran! >w< Fran's whatchamacallit (it's been so long since I've played... EX Mode or something?) would be her Mist Frenzy. 8D

^ Yeah I agree. I mean it makes sense that he's in it because he's your 'run around guy' (I probably should have said it like that in my previous comment) but plotline wise, when I was playing the game I saw Ashe as the main character. I wonder what weapon they'll give Vaan in 012? Considering all the characters in XII can equip anything. I hope they don't just give him a dumb little sword.

The idea had me sold the second I heard Tifa was going to be a playable character. And to a slightly lesser extent, Kain.

This, along with Golden Sun DS and Pokemon Black/White are on my list of things to get as soon as I can get my grabby hands onto 'em.

I've heard some rumors that Tifa is only going to be a playable character from a short time and Kuja is now on the Cosmos side, and there's going to be a 'badguy' mode, where you can play via the villains, and you see the heroes loose. Anybody know if any of this is true ?
