Good Manga =/= CRAP ANIME

Am annoying addicted tsubasa xxxholic ouran and vampire knight mangas

however when tsubasa anime diverged from the manga i cried a bit, but then recovered on eventual release of ovas, the tokyo arc ova - awesome

the shunraiki ova skipped too much awesomeness in the manga

WHY OH WHY!!!

so i have to agree that tsubasa manga is forever better than the anime however i loved xxxholic, more so xxxholic kei

ouran i found though diverged from the manga was still awesome but not as good sweatdrop

and as a final picky note i must definatly agree: Escaflowne awesome anime series and movie --> crap manga :sadcry:

I agree, I've only seen a bit of the Tsubasa anime and although it seems reasonably similar it just feels drawn out and boring...but the manga is so good D':

Yugioh - What the hell happened?? they got a really interesting story about a kid possessed by the spirit of an evil pharoah who decided to try to man him up and watererd it down to the point that it compares to barney the dinosaur in relation to depth and meaning

Genshiken - a manga about otaku making manga was never made to be an anime as the show made completely evident from the horrendous voices to the complete skipping of plot points that made the story make sense it was terribad right the way through

rahxephon was one of those manga that was rather pointless how ever there was another manga released based around the babum foundation called chronicles?? but Im not sure weather or not it has officially been translated to english but one of my japanese friends says it is brilliant.

Great manga and the anime could have been so great, but like many of the titles mentioned it wasn't.

Yeah...poor characterisation for Rosette and Aion, not to mention the goddamn plot(or lack thereof) kinda destroyed it for me.

And the fact that Chrno Crusades one of my alltime favourite manga just made it all the more painful.

Yeah Rosette and Aion were both destoryed. Chrono wasn't too bad, his voice was kinda cute in English & Japanese..

But the worst thing was the ending . WTH ?? It didn't make sense at all. And the FINAL FIGHT WAS OVER IN 2 SECS
MORE WTH'S !

but the ending in the manga was truly epic ~~ awww~

And heartwrenching. And BEAUTIFULLY drawn. And superior to the anime in all forms and particulars.

Yet...Chrnos so adorable that even the general fail of the anime could not ruin him.

Saiyuki :/

My all time favourite manga, but the anime was really lame. I hated how they watered down everything for tv (and a younger audience), it really messed with many of the underlying themes. Like in the anime they made Sanzo's normal gun into a special 'banishing gun' that can kill youkai, but in the manga the entire POINT of the gun is that it can be used on humans in particular.

I do like the voice acting, though! But I couldn't watch it, it was boring (which KILLED me).

...huh. I like the Saiyuki anime x3 then again, I saw all of it first then started buying the manga.
Reload anime is a bit... o_0 Haven't seen all of it yet, but I started falling asleep when the plot started xD *fails at staying up*
I really like the Homura arc though. And fake Sanzo group! That was some good filler xDD

..... And now I am annoyed because I can't remember another fail that I was going to add Dx
Though the FAKE ova is SO BAD DX

I'm glad someone mentioned Pet Shop of Horrors. Agreed that it was a great manga but a 4 ep anime just don't cut it sad

Also, Samurai Deeper Kyo was lame as an anime.

If anyone's seen the anime. It's nothing compared to its Visual novel or Manga counterpart.

Plus VN and Manga has Nanaya mode Shiki in it.

i have to admit, i'm waiting for the Little Pet Shop of Horrors anime to be released and ruin my wonderful memories of the manga.

i can't see it translating well, but since TOKYOPOP have the rights to the sequel and it seems to be getting pretty popular...who knows? D;
