Hey that fountain is actually quite a bit of a hike. You would be better off, just going across the road to Cornwall Park. :) *sadface* I will not be joining you as I will be guest minding on both Saturday and Sunday. (still has no idea who I will be minding - Robot Chicken last year...hmmmm)

^ I sorta agree. If you look at the tiny specks that are cars, and then put a to scale person next to them, then look at the distance that minute speck has to walk, it's quite far. -Shrug-

It's an alright walk, I did it last year to get some food. For some reason it feels shorter walking back from it. Also, go the way that's through the park otherwise if it's sunny, you shall melt

It is nice, and not toooo far. But it does take a while to walk to. Cornwall park is just across the road from the venue isn't it. And there must be seats somewhere. The fountain may suit some photos though.

There is no back gate on the venue. Doubt the race course will let us wander through, but maybe they will. Now in ChCh you could.

Not sure if I'll have the time to bake anything at this rate and I don't have a chilly bin! I'll see if I can bake something on Friday, if not, I'll bring bought goodies (COOKIES? CAKE? BOTH?).

The two picnic spots that come to mind are the fountain or Cornwall park - but both require a bit of a walk? Not much, but if you've got a heavy/hot costume it might get annoying.
Cornwall park is closer, however. I think.

EDIT EDIT: Both places have good photo ops, although Cornwall park has more variety and is less likely to have a building or a car in the shot lol.
