We're all fine here. I went on geonet soon afterwards but there had been a smaller one 5min before (which I hadn't felt) - it said it was a 3.0. I was like that was not a 3! Then I refreshed again and got the 5.1 - which felt correct.

LOL!!! I am such an idiot. I have been getting staff updates 3 times a week from vbase. Here is the lastest about Town hall and convention centre

Noooo! It's not fair! sad Stupid earthquake. stare Hopefully they can hold it somewhere else, only thing we can do now is to wait for news, hopefully good news. If it does end up being canceled I will be sad, I will just have to make NZAE and AuckGeddon extra fun then!

first of all it's now changed it's name (CBS now I think?) and second of all I don't think there will be enough space. There aren't as many 'extra' rooms available.
