Valkyrie Profile

Okay, this is like... The best non-FF RPG ever.

The characters and premise are made of utter win.

And one woman voices like... Most of the main characters. It's funny.

So, basically, for those non-Valkyrie Profile-ers out there, it's basically a game about Norse mythology, though it's taken huge artistic license with it.

You play a goddess, Lenneth Valkyrie, as she goes about her duties recruiting Einherjar-- dead people's souls-- for a huge battle called Ragnarok, where they will protect and fight for the Aesir-- heroic gods-- and help secure the fate of the world.

However, throughout the game, Lenneth finds herself unable to remember anything prior to her duties being given to her, and through her recruitment of Einherjar begins to learn that the gods are up to something.

It's really good.

And kinda hilarious.

One of my mages currently has a weapon equipped which shoots cockatiels at the enemy.

Yeah, I'm being serious.

Oh, and everyone in it is like... Voiced by a VA from the old Pokemon anime.

There's a character with the exact same voice as Ash.

And a whole lot who're voiced by the woman who voices Meowth.
Who is apparently heavily multi-talented, because she voices... The manliest character in the game. Yeah, I laughed too. A woman voices the manly man.

She also voices the crazy dude who's trying to force Lenneth to fall in love with him (named Lezard. And guess who he looks like? Yeah, uhm, Squeenix needs to be a bit more creative next time.).

But anyway, I digress.

I saw my sister playing Valkyrie Profile 2 on ps2 and I actually found the manga of Valkyrie Profile so I'm reading it.
I think I like sort of the neo-classic RPG fighting style in the Valkyrie Profile 2.
Valkyrie Profile was made for psp isn't it?
I asked a shop keeper and he said he hasn't seen one for ps or ps2... such a shame that I don't have a psp.

Valkyrie Profile can be bought for both PSP and PS, but the PS version is incredibly rare and worth well over $100 US.

There's a manga of it?
Ooh, didn't know.

This was the first game I finished on my PSP, Loved it.
And now I'm playing the new one that just came out on the DSL.

I've played a bit of the PS2 one, pretty good. And I'm playing the DS version right now. I like it! Though the characters seem over dramatic, and the things they say during battle is a bit silly that's possibly why I like it so much. It's funny!

I'm finally playing it now, and thoroughly enjoying it, which is a bad thing, as I'm meant to be doing homework, not playing PSP. D:>

And OMG! I thought that I recognised that kids voice! It's Fuyu-whatsit with the cerulean lapis who has Ash's voice, right?

BAHAHA. A whole lot of the voice actors are also voice actors from Yu-Gi-Oh!

Lenneth is voiced by the VA of Mai Valentine and Gandar, Belenus, Suo, Loki and Gabriel Celeste are all voiced by the VA of Bakura, Yami Bakura, Bandit Keith.
