Like but dislike ?

Is there a certain anime or manga that you LOVE to death and can't bare to stop watching or put it down. But there is something within the anime or manga that you can't stand ? It makes you want to slam your head on a table, or pull out your hair in complete frustration ?

I love the Fushigi Yugi anime, despite it being rather old and aged terribly. The characters are humorous and wonderful, but there is something I can't stand within the anime. THE CHEESY ROMANCE ! ugh, it's so cheesy and unrealistic. I usually like romance and girly-girl manga stories, but this is just.... beyond cheese. xD'; And-

Recently I've been watching Wallflower ~<3 I love it and all.
I'm pretty okay with plots/character I don't agree with but it really gets me how Sunako is almost ALWAYS done in the chibi form .__________.; /tears hair/ Seriously. Everyone else is normal and she's this squat miniture chubby-ish looking dwarf. I can understand the use of it for comical reasons but even in the supposed serious scenes, she's all chibi.

Oh and (in general) romance manwhas. I enjoy reading them but there's usually a female protagonist who goes around kicking ass, almost to the point of being uneccessarily obnoxious about it. Overly strong characters (in contrast to the "weak/shy" ones that annoy most people) really get under my skin.

Kuroshitsuji: I LOVE all the side/extra characters, HATE Ciel and Sebastian but the story and art is amazing!
Reborn: I couldn't care less about the Vongola. Gimme some Varia and Millefiore. Again, I like the story and art.
IN GENERAL: I tend to dislike/hate main characters/groups and prefer the villians/side characters. I think I've only kept reading 07 Ghost because of the Black Hawks. sweatdrop

Gundam Seed and 00 season 2 does this for me.

I love Gundam way too much, but the stories of these two series, and the whole 'ideals' sugar honey iced tea that they always go on about really gets on my nerves, especially Gundam Seed.

It all comes off a bit too utopian and grinds my gears.

i just watched Junjou Romantica haha!

it was SO crap, the characters all looked the same, and the relationships bothered me, because they all seemed to be horribly insecure with each other.

Death Note is awesome.
But what's with the voices in the anime? Light's 'I'm-just-a-happy-go-lucky-guy-and-definitely-not-a-mass-muderer' voice is soooo annoying. Misa is supposed to be obnoxious, I know, but they went kind of overboard with that. And most of all, WHY DOES NEAR HAVE A WOMAN'S VOICE? Seriously guys, not cool >_<

I loved the Fruits Basket manga.
But the anime was LOL EPIC FAIL. They stopped halfway through. Nothing was resolved. None of the 'OMFG WHUT' secrets were revealed. None of the destined couples got together. Half the cast weren't even introduced, including quite a few zodiacs! I mean really?

Soredemo Sekai ga Mawatteru <- one of the most pointless anime ever but its animated by SHAFT and directed by Shinbo Akiyuki, that means I have to watch it i.e. it animation style is awesome <3

i'm sorry, I just don't like otomes or genres along that line. It's just annoying. I think the only main female character i like thats in a similar genre would be Haruhi from Ouran. SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THE GUYS, she just wants her sushi!

oh and Tegami bachi/Letter bee. I looooooooooooooove the characters, but maybe it's because i end up in tears after every episode. Makes me think twice about watching each ep because I know its gonna be depressing ;A;
