Not only is this favourite anime, when I found it at JB Hi-Fi I squealed in joy. But something on the DVD absolutely made my day.

They refer to Crona as a guy. I AM SO HAPPY!

Crona was always meant to have an ambiguous gender, because in the anime they always refer to him/her in neutral pronouns, though Crona uses "boku" which is masculine. However, I always figured Crona HAD to have one, it'd be male. The thought of Crona being female absolutely sickened me. Especially that awful page from Chapter 60. (We've already established the feminine body, people! >_<) It seemed to convince everyone.

I'm glad the dubbers stuck it to the man fans and made Crona a dude. Soooo happy. Take that.

Aside from the typical Crona rant, WHO ELSE LOVES SOUL EATER?

But I watched the first episode of the English Dub (after I watched the subbed) and FAIL!!! >.< Why couldn't they leave Shinigami as Shinigami instead of Mr. Grim Reaper D=

HAHA Actually I think it's "Lord Death" which does annoy me a lot. The worst has got to be Black Star's voice though. I swear it's a girl.

Seriously, isn't he supposed to be the MANLIEST!? Or so he says? :3

I can think of worse dubs though. Most dubs suck anyway. It's the Crona thing that made me most happy.

Only Patti's voice seems to fit well. Soul's isn't too bad. Crona is PERFECT because it's hard to tell whether its a dude or a chick. Mind you...I'll love Crona no matter what.

I HATE Shinigami's voice. Yeah, Pattys is cool and soul isn't too bad but Shinigami-sama is really really annoying. In Japanese he actually sounds cool.

But Death the Kid sounds like he hasn't hit puberty yet >_>

Actually, I was just thinking he sounds far too old and mature to be Kid. I know Kid is already "mature" mentally but he's still quite childish. (OCD and all. ^^) Dub doesn't pull that off.

Haven't yet subjected myself to the dubs..yet. Neither have I looked at the manga. Now that am back in the country, must finish watching! (Yes did pick up the DVD)... so far, pretty happy with subs Smile

I want to buy the series, but the only place where you can get anime DVD's from and hire them, the prices are like $40... it's ridiculous. Just for one anime DVD !

I'm happy Crona is guy, because I didn't fancy the potential Yuri between Crona and Maka that much. D:<

Lol...Crona yuri. Blegh. Most people seem to couple Crona with Kid - who seems to have little-to-no contact with him/her ever. LOL weird.

Though it's possible Crona has teeny crush on Maka for rescuing him/her, I'm pretty sure there will never be a couple involving him/her.
