I hope they translate it, I really really hope they do. Last I heard there were no plans to do so, but I dont remember the source that said that and also it was a while ago.

Ya think? He has a black rollbook that he carries with him. And is frequently seen at the noticeboard where the sports and cultural teams' members are listed. And two days ago we were moaning about how tired we were and he walked past us and when one of my friends said "Ahh.. I feel like I'm gonna die" he stared at us, looking quite shocked 8D

Going to say it here, and going to say it now.

Can't stand Death Note.

brought the first DVD of it, and never really had the keen to buy the 2nd.

Don't see how a smart, straight A- Student can't be smart or wise enough to realise not to kill somebody otherwise you will be a murder and a criminal and if you killed people off for what You are doing..

Then it makes you no better, than the criminals that you are killing.
And L ? He says that he wants to kill off Light. So how does that make him justice ? When L is killing, what Light and the criminals are doing ?
All three groups are just as bad as each other, which is-just arghh..

<Mello and Misa are cute though. >

But apart from that, can't really stand Death Note at all...

I find Death Note really funny myself.

Probably because I actually really relate to Light.

I share similar values to him in terms of justice and the like, and, truth be told, I would probably do what he did if I had a Death Note.

But, yeah.

You're probably all going to be afraid of me now. ^^;;

Well in the first episode Light did realize what he was doing was murder, and at first wondered if it was right. He came to the conclusion that the world had gone so wrong and the justice system seemed to be failing, that it had to be done, since the power had fallen into his hands.

L did want to catch him, but the thing is if he did, Light would have been sent to execution. L was just following the justice system.

I used to think exactly like you Mefushimi, I didn't think anyone had the right to take the life of another. But due to own experiences (being related to someone in the police force helps lol), and just watching the way the world is heading, now I'm not so sure.
Pretty much through the whole anime I was so 50:50 hahah, I liked Light's original idea but I didn't like how power-hungry Light seemed to become.

Though, really, we gota remember that Death Note wasn't actually intended to become so ethical haha.

L change the world was really good in my opinion! I really loved it =P
It may not be Death Note as such, but it definitly has a similar feeling with its characters (L!) and theme of L vrs ... *can't say without spoiling*

Maddy, you can borrow DN from me if you want. Cobi currently has my anime volumes 1-3 (I want 5!! ... Uh, 4 figure never got released in NZ, so I'll buy that volume later xD). And you can borrow the manga too if you want. It takes forever to read though ... (well, later on it does).

did you do an online order to get the vol 4 figurine aura? talking to the guys at gamesman in Lower Hutt they seemed to think Australia didn't ship them any figurines for that one.. unless some arrived later on?

Yeah it was online madman, I ordered (and paid) for volume 4 just when volume 3 came out. Like it was in the catalogue, and said it was about a month till release. Anyway few weeks later I heard all this talk about it not being shipped here, so I looked on the site and it wasn't in the catalogue anymore. Release date came and it arrived, though it was like two weeks late.

So I'm trying to find 5, I think I saw it for sale on a couple of nz sites, hmm must find.

At first when I started to read the manga I was so supportive of Light but then he got a bit cuckoo so I jumped over to L's side. I like the Live Action better than the manga though (can't say much about the anime cuz I've only watched a few eps). I got up to the part about the company in the manga and stopped cuz it got too boring. But with Live Action it moved quite fast and I was happy with it, well, until the ending.... T^T it was so sad! My poor L....
I'm going to download the 3rd movie in the Live Action, hope it well be good as have heard that is mostly based around L doing detective work. Can't wait! Guess I might get the anime off my friend as well lol
