Day of Silence

Have any of you heard of it?
It is really big in the states and when I heard about it it was already too late to join.

The Day of Silence is a day where people don't say a thing for the whole day to bring attention to bullying and harassment in schools. Harassment against Bi, Lesbian and Gays I think. It started as a school project for non violent protests and now has been going for 14 years.

Saturday for us, if you want to go by the American timezona =/

I don't think it matters what timezone you are in, just the day. Yeah, you do have a point though...

Yeah will be doing it ! ^-^ lol, will be telling mum first before hand though.. otherwise she might send me to the doctors thinking that got a sore throat or something sweatdrop

I think its kinda sending out the wrong message as its keeping it quiet. but i suppose no one could stand a day of screaming to speak out about it.

I unfortunately will not be able to participate due to my job but I fully appreciate the idea!

If this wasn't the day of a party I'm attending, I would definitely participate. Though last time I tried something like this, it was only 15 minutes of silence, and I failed miserably when I watched something on Youtube that gave me the giggles. 8D;;;

Might be sorta hard to do if I've got work on Friday. My job is to convince people to buy stuff after all.

I'll see what I can do on Saturday though since Saturday here is America's Friday.
