Kanon'06, Clannad, or Air? O_o

I dont know why but I seem to always think of subjects that have the vibe of some sort of argument =_=, Im just glad CNZ arent immature enough to start one : DD

Well, Ive just finished watching Air, (And started clannad afterstory, but thats not the point), I was wondering what series you guys think is is better?, Now, just so the mods dont take down the thread, Its all your guyz opinion, theres no excuse to flame some because of their opinion (Ive been to influenced by youtube =-= ), everyone will think of the animes differently.

IMHO, I like Kanon more, I recon air wouldve been better if it was longer, and CLANNAD is great, but Because I hae toread the subtitles I cant enjoy it as much as Kanon (Liked it better than Air though..)

tbh I don't think you should be judging clannad by the whole 'reading subtitles' :/ it;s not about that it's about the anime.

for me it's

1) Clannad
2) Air
3) Kanon.

I've played the VNGs and watched their respective anime and I have to say that of the lot, ~in my opinion~ CLANNAD is the best in both fields. The anime was one of the best VNG>Anime conversions I have come across.

(As a side note however, Air gets points simply for being a historical landmark and if you add Little Busters! into the mix then I'd tie it up with CLANNAD as #1 but for quite different reasons. Hopefully they can make a successful anime conversion of this product as well though I guess Angel Beats comes first *shrug*)

hmm, the thing that really interests me in AIR is Kanna's arc, it's different & a change in setting. I haven't finished After story yet (up to about ep 14ish?) but AIR & the first season of Clannad is pretty close atm

(but Sunohara, oh gawd he is made of win XDD )

Air, Kanon then Clannad.

Air had the most moving scenes, Kanon fares well, but CLANNAD suffers from misplaced comedy in places, and too few episodes across the two seasons are TRULY moving.

just finished Clannad After Story, overall on the series I liked it more than AIR, but for emotional levels...................... I'm gonna say AIR got to me more, by like just.

Misuzu & Kanna, I just can't shake that heart wrenching sympathy for them ;__________;

There are lots of cameos just between the series and such,
like in Clannad where you get to see Akiko's jam and Sanae's bread make an awesome pair.
Also in AIR, where you see Kano's classmates as Ayu, Makoto and Nayuki, who are Kanon heroines. ;D It's all very neat.
Also, the juice Sunohara is drinking at some point in the anime is definitely without a doubt the juice that Misuzu loves to drink, that squishy pink stuff.
I laugh. Hard. It's pretty hilarious. KyoAni just loves to do that sort of thing.

I like Visual Novels, as some of you know, and I just sort of fag away at the ones I have. Clannad though is by far my favourite, I don't know about you, but I think that it's probably the best visual novel I've played, ever. It's really moving, for me. And well, I have the game and both seasons of the anime and the OSTs and stacks of pictures, and they have pretty much a permanent place on my hard drive. Clannad = #1.

Kanon comes a close second, mainly because for Kanon, the anime, some of the dialogue has changed in the adaptation, and well, I don't like Shiori that much. I love all the characters in Clannad, but in Kanon, I just don't like them all quite the same. The story is truly, truly an exceptional example of nakige, even though many people don't want to grasp the spiritual aspect of it.

AIR was a good watch, I marathon'd it, but is far too confusing for someone as simple minded as myself, so naturally I didn't enjoy all the paradox-ing and reincarnating and all that shiz. Though I cried like a baby nonetheless. It's not something I would buy, though I might play the game instead. It's true that with the fewer episodes it is at a bit of a disadvantage with story and character development.
Little Busters wouldn't translate very well into anime. ;D There are parts to it that just wouldn't be picked up that quickly, and well, it has aspects of fantasy to it that just don't quite suit the setting. Though it is an outstanding game as well. Hurr. The characters are all loveable in their own way. Not to mention baseball.

Although really, in terms of space on my hard-drive, Clannad, Kanon and AIR are firmly rooted in there. I think they've all got good parts to them, some more than others.

Go play Clannad, you won't regret it.
