| Harvest Moon is one of my fav games. ^___^ I have Friends of Mineral Town and More Friends of Mineral Town on GBA. I prefer the girl version though. I went through a period of time in the holidays when I played the game everyday for such a long time. XDD But now that I'm back at school more work, less play. T__T |

Harvest Moon Anyone? By kelseyketchum. 21/03/09, 01:58 pm |
| EDIT BY MOD: Have merged the following posts with existing HM thread =3
Just wondering if anyone had played Harvest Moon (Any of them...) For those who haven't, it's basically a farming game which is oddly addictive and breaks your heart by having your game delete itself randomly because of a glitch... Well that's my experience anyway
It's Phun. |

| I cheated for all the mystic tools in MFoMT. 8D VBA cheats ftw~
But yes. Highly addictive. I find the newer ones to be hugely more complicated. Rune Factory isn't bad, but DS is just...hard to get used to. |

Re: Harvest Moon By Kei. 21/03/09, 02:44 pm |
| -raises hand-
Still think Friends of Mineral Town on the lil GBA is better than the newer ones (characters felt more diverse and interesting). Closely followed by Rune Factory only because it was so damn short. And have yet to play RF 2.
Man, it feels like Marvelous is milking the cow more than Square-Enix over the years. Such minor incremental "updates" in the last few releases besides refined controls and misc. things like crop/animal. |

| Can't you get it to work? I did. After my 15th or so try. 8D
I found a good tutorial on how to make no$gba to work. Would you like the link?
I've also played the original on a SNES emulator. The days are oddly shorter. |

| YES! <3 I've played most of the handheld games from gameboy colour and onwards~ It's muchmuch addictive fun~ =3 ... Except for DS Cute. (If there wasn't Skye, I probably wouldn't bother with the heart events. D: )
I haven't played the first Rune Factory, but I quite like the second (except for the storyline for why your character leaves so you switch to the child...). ^^ Haven't finished it yet though... Wish my charger was working, so I could. >w>'' |

Re: Harvest Moon By KotoneVersus. 22/03/09, 12:50 pm |
| Huh. I just realised it doesn't actually tell you how to put in a game, just how to save it - which is oddly complicated.
Anyway, what I found is that it can only open .nds files. You can download some games in .rar, but I figure you have to do something with those files before you can open them in the emulator, not that I know what that is.
The link is here.
To load the games, you need to change the save type. Note that some games are super glitchy or run slowly on the emulator, it's not actually complete. Currently playing Avalon Code which just came out in the US~ It's quite good save for the fact that text stays on the screen and I have to reset it everytime the text clogs up the screen. |

Re: Harvest Moon By Ginger Ninja. 22/03/09, 01:14 pm |
| I have played... most versions xD Personally I like the DS version cause its fun having more freedom over how to design your farm. It is harder at the beginning though. FoMT was also extremely awesome though ^.^ I tried the PS version but it just wasnt as good~ |

Re: Harvest Moon By KotoneVersus. 22/03/09, 01:40 pm |
| Harvest Moon DS isn't actually as slow as Pokemon on DS. It's just the 3D effects which makes it slow. And Harvest Moon has no 3D effects. =D |
