New Digimon series "Digimon Around"

There is apparently a new Digimon series being made and released in 2010 titled "Digimon Around" with a Wii and Ds game coming out that may or may not be based on the series. I warn you though due to lack of info we shouldn't get our hopes up but right now news about it has been spread everywhere.

The
title of the new series is Digimon Around. (Figure I should put this
here since I thought of it, it's always possible it could be a one off

It will begin airing in the spring.

The
normal timeslot Digimon has is currently taken by Dragon Ball Kai. It
could mean any of the following: Kai will take a break, Kai will move
timeslots, Digimon will get a new timeslot, or other options I'm not
thinking of at the moment.

It appears a DS and Wii game will come out while the show is airing. These games MAY be connected to the anime in some way.

The show will likely be announced at Jump Festa, or an upcoming issue of V-Jump.

One
of those sites that list info on upcoming anime does indeed have
Digimon Around listed, which confirms earlier information. (http://fukuani.hp.infoseek.co.jp/fukuani_shinban.html)

The info thus far gives us enough information to 'generally' say, that YES a new show is in fact coming, and it isn't a rumor.

But it is always nice to lean a little bit on the side of 'maybe not' until we get an official announcement.

Update 1: A few listing sites removed the Around listing, and one added a message apologizing.

Not
cause the news isn't true, but because the gun was jumped on putting it
up, because it still is effectively at the level of 'rumor' and not
'confirmed', and the listing sites don't post this sort of thing until
it's confirmed.

New Digimon RPG for DS?! Yay, finally! ... Didn't enjoy Championship much...
As for anime series... The first series is definitely the best~

lol I agree it does have a crap name >_< just glad a new series is coming though i'm keen to see the new Digimon (plz no moar Agumons)
