So judging from recent posts, there seems to be a lot of talks about seiyuus and voice actors in general. So why not start a thread!

Post here if
- You want to let the world know who does a good job on which character
- You want to introduce some new songs they've sung
- You just want to talk about the people who breathes life into these awesome anime characters.

Personally, I think seiyuus are a major factor to a good anime. Good voice acting makes shows enjoyable, even when they're not... that interesting. I dunno... I sometimes choose what anime I want to watch based on the seiyuus, but thats only if I really can't decide.

Hmm... 6 more days until Chihara Minori's new single "PRECIOUS ONE" and also for Mizuki Nana's Live Diamond Fever concert to be released. My bandwidth... lol (esp when you want to get the BD version).

Anyone else a Seiyuutard? XD

currently waiting for megumi nakajima's mini album for macross f, i think it was released yesterday. i hope it arrives soon >o<
i love her voice, i prefer her singing over her voice acting though. she's quite new though, i'm sure she'll get even betterer /o/

Yup~

Personally, I prefer Japanese seiyuu's to English ones, but I do like some Eng dubs better . . .

My favourite seiyuu are probably Inada Tetsu and Jason Liebrecht~.

As for singer/seiyuu . . . Makino Yui~ ^ ^

And, I agree. Good seiyuu definately contribute to creating a good anime~

While I like subs, I have no interest in learning the names and roles of Japanese seiyuu. Why? Because I don't speak Japanese, so I honestly don't know if they're doing it right. :/

Soooo I like the odd English voice actor, as long as they're doinitrite. Yuri Lowenthal, yesplz.

I suppose I could say I began to be a seiyuutard when I first watched Suzumiya Haruhi, and thus the most influential seiyu(u) for me were the 5 members of the SOS-dan.

And Taniguchi. And Tsuruya-san.

So! I'll just type about them for now:
Hirano Aya - my bro is a huge fantard for her, and basically tries almost any anime that she's played a part in. Me... er, not as much, but I do like her acting.
Ono Daisuke - FFFFF I love his fabulous-ness. His singing is also amazing.
Gouto Yuuko - I love the fact that she gets the sweet and moe-type roles, when it completely contrasts with her character in real life.
Chihara Minori - I <3 HER VOICE, MAN. Her singing = voice of an angel.
Tomokazu Sugita - Definite fan. Snarky voice ftw!
~~Taniguchi~~ Shiraishi Minoru - It was Lucky Star that did it for me. Live Action 'Ore no Wasuremono'... I almost died when I saw it.
Matsuoka Yuki - I was shocked to find that she was the same actress who did Inoue (Bleach) and Osaka (Azumanga). It wouldn't be as surprising for me now, but... damn.

Gah... There are way more I want to fangirl over, but this post is starting to distract me.

As for VAs, Crispin Freeman <33
& Johnny Young Bosch.

Oh Mamoru Miyano is pretty awesome as well.

ooo yes, i'm not a big fan of english dubs, but crispin & johnny are pretty cool.

off the top of my head, my fave voice actors are:
hoshi shouichirou, kana ueda, goto yuko (i know a lot of people who dislike her, but i personally think she's awesome~), kobayashi yuu, megumi nakajima & nonaka ai. <3

Oo! O! Junko Minagawa! (Prince of Tennis & Cornelia) it's so cool how she can do young boy voices & older women~ (I honesty thought they'd give her Ciel to do, totally suprised when Maaya Sakamoto got the role, but thats a good thing :3 )

Maaya is cool singer since 1996 (I think its that)

Orikasa is the woman of 1000 voices :p

Fukujun is wwwwwww and hilarious all round

Sugita is always hilarious, and Minorun is... Minorun.
Gotou Yuuko aka GOTOUZA-SAMA loves Hokuto no Ken XD

Shinichiro Miki is like... the 4th most prolific seiyuu?

Makino Yui... she has a long road ahead (having graduated with a Piano Major from Uni and all that)

Horie Yui is awesome, is part of the 17 club, and is the 4th person to perform at Budokan under a personal name.

Nakajima Megumi is rising fast, being in Macross F and all that, and last time I checked her new single is #5 on daily Oricon charts.
