| Seiyuu breathe life into characters, and make crap shows bearable
But we'll need a whole new topic to talk about them. Kanon Kanon... hmm...
Who's watched the 2002 version Kanon, just out of interest XD |

| I don't know the difference, I've only watched one of them. (I played the game instead)
Is 2002 the version with Sugita? Because I have no idea... |

...also, just to throw in my 2 cents on the dubs thing. Dubs, Subs, Localizations, etc etc. This process derives the product no longer canon → they are technically derivative works. Thus, we are reading/watching/listening to entirely different things. <-this is the problem. I'm not saying that 'dubs are bad' (even if I feel they are) as that is obviously a matter of taste. But a derivative work has no place trying to compete with the original. (it is a matter of respect)

| Personally, I don't mind dubs, but I prefer subs in general. Whenever video games have the option of selecting Japanese or English voices, I make a beeline for the Japanese dubbing.

really wrong, I'll throw the disc out the window and go to watch Kannagi or something. I wouldn't exactly go far as to throw the disc out of the window, but I'd either feel that the character is completely ruined for me, or that there is something... just... distinctly off about it.
I can't say that I can name around 40 seiyu(u) in my head, but there is always that little bit of happiness I feel when I hear the voice of someone I recognise. Sugita is one of them and he is totally made of win.
Watched the 2002 one after 2006. Regretted it immensely due to the character designs and kinda rushed pacing of it. |

| Ive seen 2002, I do tink 2006 is way better, but te 2002 one, the ending makes more sense, and they kept it close to the original visual novel story, but I still think 2006 is way better, just my opinion :\ |

| TBH Dubs annoy me because theres not as much passion and emotion.
However in japanese....
you know what I'm just gonna throw this put there so I don't rant;;;
Go on youtube and search for Higurashi voice comparison.
The Higurashi dub is the worst thing ever. It makes me want to throw my speakers off a 10 story building. for srs. |

| In that case, I think I will pass on watching the other version.
After all, I do love Sugita's voice in a male lead.
Though I did like Nakamura Yuuichi as Tomoya D: He was so very good.... but SUGITAAA....
8D I'm kind of curious though. Is it that different? |

| ^ That's... kind of irrelevant to Kanon, but yeah.
I don't know if you can find the older anime anywhere, I'm kind of feeling worried about whether or not it's worth a comparison.
It is a good story, after all. |

| Heh, Kanon 2002, I guess if you REALLY liked kanon 2006, 2002 is worth seeing, or if youve played the visual novel, and want to see a dialog closer to the original story, 2002 would be worth it |
