Where to find jewels?

I am planning on making Fai's staff from Tsubasa
Where to find jewels? 2dabyqe

& am needing a large amount of jewels =P

Anyone know where to buy them? I had a look at Spotlight but they only had packets of sew on jewels in varying shapes and sizes. I need just plain old round ones.

The warehouse.
$2 shops.
Craft shops.
Emporiums.
I also found some nice non-sewing ones at center point, but they were a darker blue. :C

For Rosa I bought $2 rings, stole the gems off them and used a sharpie to colour them the right colour. sweatdrop

It's not the cheapest option, but if you're desperate it's an alternative. :3

In the tutorial I found the person just painted them with glass paint which came out looking awesome, so I was just planning on doing that.
Unless I actually find jewels that colour, buuut I think that would be unlikely x3

Christmas baubles cut in half can make a good substitute for jewels.
If you're lucky you might be able to find transparent plastic baubles (maybe try Spotlight?); you can paint the inside with glass paint (or permanent marker) and they'll be a little more transparent and realistic looking than the standard shiny baubles.

You can cast your own. You can clay cast them in the right shape inward (so circle shape) and then use hot glue to fill it in therefore casting your own clearish gems?
and then colour them or something.

I saw similar jewellies like those at $3 Japan/Daiso in auckland city >.<
But unless they have Daiso in Wellington (you live in Welly, right?), then your best bet is the warehouse '^'
