Who reads them ?
( basically Korean manga )

And if so, any recommendations ?
I'm an avid Shoujo reader, so yeh.. [;
but open to any others !

Yup, avid manhwa reader here.

One thing I like about it more than manga is that I can read the raw versions perfectly.

Favourite would be "Goong", bought the whole series when I was in Korea. xD

Yup, was made into a really famous drama.
Still one of my faves.

And regarding yaoi...don't read much of it, even in manga.. xD

Oh, um, I like Moon Boy. The art is really lovely.

I only ever like manga for art. The only manga I'd buy for the story has to be so good, it makes me BAAAAAWWWWWWW.

Also, what's it called... pig bride... this stuff is in yen plus. Jack Frost... it goes on

Black God is my favourite though, even though it's got a Japanese storyline, it's by Korean artists! It counts!

Wuuuu, Jack Frost ! < 3 don't usually read that kinda thing. . but it's great.

Mmm~ I think I have come to the realization that manhwa is completely different to the standard Japanese Shoujo manga. . it's not very light-hearted. . a lot of the ones I've read involve gangs + the guy is usually violent. . sobfests. . no wonder they make this stuff into drama's.

ANDOIHWHOALULZ. One thing common is there is usually some crazy ex-girlfriend / revenge / mean betch. OIHGUR. OIHLUL. ( this is all romancey crap btw )

Manhwa is like manga, really, but the generic underlying themes are a tad... different.

Manga usually includes things like, 'We'll get through this as a team!' 'Friends are forever!' 'We're inseperable!' .... it goes on
things like that, right?

Often manhwa will have more self reflection and personal growth - at least that's what I think... o_o

//think I gotta start reading different ones then..

Last one I read was about a chick having two identities; one as a boy ( to fight and relieve stress, haha o-o;; ).
Then a guy falls in love with the her; AS THE BOY. . it was almost shounen-ai or something. LUL.

But there was this one manhwa, called 'The One' about modelling. . had more deeper meaning than the others I've read.

Immortal Regis is an amazing Manwha~
It's addicting, and they're currently writing a sequel. The art is the best part of it I reckon. ;]

Although it's only typical of korean art - it does show a bit much when it comes to the women.
But seriously is amazing. I recommend.

I like
Witch hunter, Pink Lady, Bride of the water God, 1/2 Prince , The Tarot Cafe and many others more.
Pink Lady is the hardest to find but it's seriously amazing.
http://cafe.naver.com/drunkducks.cafe <- This is the only place where you can read it outside of Korea! It look me a good hour to find it.

Bride of the water god has the BEST art I have ever seen.
