HELP >.< dying my hair.. By sexyShiaki. 13/11/09, 01:50 pm |
| Okay I know its 11months away but I wanna' be prepared for things before time... I have three different colours in my hair (Black, Red with light brown highlights<<--was purple) My hair was cut just before september this year (At shoulder length), but it has grown alot over the past three months and now its half way down my back. I'm cosplaying as Yoruichi next year at Auckgeddon..
I was wondering which purple would be suitable for my hair? What would be the process of having it that colour? (Do I have to bleach my hair >.<) And when would be the right time to dye it?
Really need help..
Thanks.. |

| depending if you want it permanant or not, bleach your hair and try one of paintboxe's purple shades.
If you want it permanent go to a hairdresser xD |

| Last time I went to a hair dresser it cost around $110 to get it done and my hair was fairly long, until he cut it all off *tear*..I wouldn't mind having it permanent since I've already photo shopped my hair a purple colour and it looked really nice...
and thanks for the advice..I think I needed that one..

| the paintbox range has a product that actually strips all the color out of your hair and turns you hair white. I suggest using that then dying it purple. a tip, Paintbox have awesometastic shades, and if you want a shade but for a long amount of time you can dye your hair with it and buy another bottle of it and add a little bit to your shampoo once a week and the color will stay for a long time.
Then once you get sick of the purple you can wash it out and dye it another color.
hope this helps. |

| Bleaching your hair then dying it again is a great way to really kill your poor, hard done by locks.
A decent wig is a lot cheaper than a salon bleach+dye, and probably around the same price of a home bleach+dye. With a wig you can colour match much better, and swap in and out of it at will.
Also, I've found the purple hair dyes, even the permanent ones, tend to fade pretty quickly.
So, my advice: don't dye your hair, get a wig instead!
