Cosplay movie oO

Okay, I might get shot for saying this but whatever.
I really wanna do a anime/game crossover live action style movie (something like final fantasy/kingdom hearts, quest thing ... ~ seen college saga on youtube? = click meh)

one of the ideas was to have 3 cosplayers dressing up as heros from something who unite on a quest for *insert something awesome* ... or the other thing is to have 3 normal people on the quest.
The cosplayers could be enemies, friends, summons, random people in the background etc that the heros pass by/talk to/fight/help etc etc
After filming we edit the video put in fancy flames special effects, add in the music from games. (so say if *specifically has this tune stuck in head* Reno and Rude come to give advice to the heros have their theme playing) etc etc.
It would take a while, and we need quite a few different cosplay characters etc etc but yeah its just something for the future xD

if we could just figure out a good storyline...
it could be a parody or serious whatever works.

whatsya think?

this is just another idea along side the other youtube skits, and little movie things we can make.

I'm think parody, intersperesed with random serious moments (a la serious chinese kung fu movies, with eyecatches and western style quick draw gun fights) and all the random characters we can find!

.... I can't post all the random ideas that have asploded into my heads... but I'll think some more and post again, 'cause this is a brilliant idea!!!

Mwhahah now I've got something to occupy my brain with at work today as well - more idea stuffs.

oooh, later on, when we can find out how many of the club are keen, we can write a list of what characters we have and then work from there ^^

lol i love that idea! I was thinking about a FFbattle parody a while ago too, but i soon scrapped that idea since I didnt know many cosplayers ^^ but now we have a plentyyy

I was the same as nazgul, I always wanted to do this but didn't know enough cosplayers, but now mwhahahah
The idea I got will take a while to film, and we can cover different locations forest/hills/beach etc.
I was just talking to my brother about video editing (which he's getting a degree in~) so it'll be easy to do.
I am thinking of like not just a 10 minute movie, I mean like an hour or so =P
But like I said, we've got all the other skits and youtube stuffs to do as well at some point.

and we must record bloopers and save them for the end mwhahahah.

OH YAY.

Now, we gota come up with a script...
and hey we can always do more then one movie ;)

For this idea, it wasn't to have it as ff characters xD
I was just using it as an example.
Though I'm sure sooner or later we'll end up doing a ff related skit/movie.

this is what I thought
something like three normal people (in other words, not cosplaying) have to go on some journey, or they're transported or something... through their 'quest' they meet friends/enemies etc (who will be in cosplay)

cause I suck at explaining.
Something like, “the three characters are transported to anime/video game world.” (only not so lame ><; )
Or kingdom-hearts style where they visit “worlds” and meet cosplayers from naruto/bleach/ff/death note/etc/whatever/any anime/game etc and while on their quest have to help the characters from each world with their own problems etc etc
I DONT KNOW.
It could be anything, thats just the basic idea =P

The ultimate crossover of some kind, so we can have all kinds of characters.
thats why this would take a while =P
figure a good storyline etc
= thus the ultimate movie.

BUT we can (and I'm sure we will) also do smaller movie things that feature characters from the same anime/game etc etc

lol we can do anything...

I can see it being needed.
That way all the film footage from meetings and stuff can be on one account as well, easier to access =P
I know everyone wants to do little skits (which was discussed at the meeting zero lmao.)

okay first, I think we could do some small skits or like a little mini movie of some kind. (whether its a live action of a particular anime/game or if its a crossover it doesn't matter) its just to see how it all works and get practice for video editing the special effects and music in etc.

I mean its gonna take a while to get a good script/storyline etc for the "ultimate cosplay movie." =3
I'll start writing a list out of whose keen and what characters we have so far (in other words what cosplays do we have available or will have) and stuff later on~

So in the meantime... we can do small movies and skits xD

is there any skits or anything people want to actually create?
Pyro what was your skit? And Nazgul what did you mean by ff battle parody? (like college saga?)

Maybe, for the plot, we could have, like, the three (or maybe just two? it'd mean we could have more 'party members' to travel with them, and do it Tsubasa style?

Actually, scratch that- to get in world travelling, we could have it be a Tsubasa parody-

A guy and a girl (not cosplaying) are doing something one day when suddenly something bad happens, and they're thrust into a new world, where they meet a witch (someone cosplaying a character in a kimono, but not Yuuko- and call them the 'space witch', to parody the whole 'space and time' thing, and how Yuuko's the time witch... And give this 'space witch' a lame reason for naming herself as such.

Then, two cosplayers, each one from a different world (probably, like, one from Naruto and one from FFVII, so we've got the two majorities being cosplayed and can set up the convention of having dimension have familiar people wearing different clothes, and have lots of that), come into the scene, say, like, Sasuke and Sephiroth, or the like, and have Sephiroth explain that he just wants to 'stay the hell away from that Lifestream-thing', and Sasuke say he 'was hit by his brothers forbidden jutsu- the dimensional-portal-ma-bobby jutsu', Sephiroth now adopting the goal to keep away from home, and Sasuke wanting to get back and kill Itachi.

The 'space witch' says okay, and hands them a plushie of an iconic character (Kero from Cardcaptors, or Pikachu?) and says it will take them to different worlds, then takes what each values the most- Sasuke's jutsu ability, Sephiroth's Masamune, and something really stupid and seemingly meaningless from the two randoms.

The plushie suddenly, through use of bad special effects, transports them to the first world- we could use the Botanical gardens for this one- which is a conglomerate of all the worlds they'll go through. They meet some staples who'll appear in different personas in each world, and start socializing with one another, whilst trying to find what the two randoms have lost. From there, we start building a plot and building up layer upon layer of parodies of famous anime, doing it KH/Tsubasa style...

How does that sound?

If you like the idea, I'll start scripting...
I'd be happy to just write and not be in it, except for minor FFVII-world roles, if you'd like.
