Tips for covering under eye bags? By Guest. 20/10/09, 12:09 am |
| Does anybody have any tips for covering these things up? Can it be done with just liquid foundation or should concealer be used as well?
Do gimmicks such as warm tea bags/ice cubes/weird concoctions actually work?
[salutes] Thanks in advance. :3 |

| Alex and I used lots of concealer + liquid foundation for these when we did our makeup for Sylvie's shoot and it seemed to take a LOT to cover it, but it worked. C: I've heard if you use a green concealer the colours cancel themselves out and makes it easier to cover them or something, but I've never tried it. |

| green concealer works, we used it at school production (everyone needed it, too many non sleepers and late night rehearsals) using nightcream has helped me from preventing them from getting worse but i guess it also depends on your skin |

| Depends, what's your budget? Specialist makeup brands like Smashbox do products for that kind of thing that work especially well. |

| Yes! Green Foundation exists!
They are a great investment for under eye circles, and also covering up red spots.
Tips for under eye bags:
- Spoiler:
Lie in bed with Slices of cold cucumber on eyes for 20 minutes. Wash the puffy spot with cold water every day. Use vitamin E oil and rub the oil overnight around your eyes. Chill 4 spoons in icy water, then place 1 spoon on each eye, when you feel they are not cold enough replace them with the spoons in the glass, repeat until you see improvement. Put black tea bags or chamomile tea bags in a cup with warm water, soak cotton ball and put on the eyes for 20 minutes. Put parsley in boiled cup of water, soak cotton ball and apply on eyes for 10 minutes to reduce the puffiness. Apply cold bread on closed eyes. Put 1 teaspoon of salt to 2 cups of water, boil for one minuet, cool and use to wash the inner eye. Warm 50mm of rosewater, add 10gm rosemary leafs, wait 10 minutes. Saturate cotton wool pads and apply on eyes for 10 minutes. Press gently with your fingers next to your temples and between the eyes, repeat 12 times. Strain the juice of grated potato and saturate cotton wool pads with it or lay the grated vegetable on the eye between the muslin. Smear a drop of fresh Castor oil along the eyelids. Mix a few egg whites and apply under the eyes, can also add a drop of witch hazel. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey to a bowl of warm water, saturate a cloth and apply on eyes for 15-20 minutes. Wrap ice cubes in a cloth and put on the eyes. Apply cold potato slices (keep them in the fridge and not the freezer until they become cool) and place them on your eyes for 10 minutes. You can also use potato juice (use cotton balls to dab them on your face) as an alternative.

| Ooo that green foundation is awesome. It was used on me a lot when I did make up modelling, works like magic to cover up redness! If you know how to use it anyway, which I don't |

| I know this sounds stupid but tablespoons work. You know, when you put the curved side underneath your eyes, as silly as it is it actually works. And in no time too! |
