hey hey hey, just an idea; since fred has posted a pen pals thread as well, how about we have one for complete randomizing pen pals (ie; the random selection idea) and one for people who are pickier about their pen pals and would rather choose who they want to write to? 8D i can't tell if you were going for the latter idea on this thread, but if that's what you were aiming for, i'm in~ /is fussy about who i write to.

well, if we have this thread for the picky people and fred's for the random selection one, the people interested in pen-palling could look at the list, then PM the people they want to mail to arrange it between them both? 8D (exchange addresses, make sure they are not creepy stalkers etc) and the PM'd person can choose to accept or reject the pen-pal offer, as well. :3

..... that sounded a lot more sensible in my head.....

I like letters because it's something you can actually hold. And you can put more feeling in, with doodles and your own hand writing, and evidence of mistakes.
