| It's a little too early, way too early.
Would of prefer to enjoy and travel through the world of FF13
THEN
Hear about FF14 by the gaming Media
Not- Two years before FF13 comes out.
But unhappy that it's a online RPG like FF 11. |

| I thought it sounded a little odd to be announced early. The whole 'online' thing is what's deterring me from looking further. |

| yes but even worse for the people that want it on the xbox360 is that the 360 uses dvd's to store its games and ff13 might possibly be 2 dual layer blu-ray disc but one dual layer disc at the least (1 dual layer blu-ray disc is 50gb and a dual layer dvd 8gb plus disc changing stuff uses up a fair bit of space) |

Re: Final Fantasy XIV?! By Lavi_x. 04/06/09, 01:24 am |
| 13s release date changes all the time. 13 won't be on more than one blu-ray, or it would be stupid to put it on 360 5gb isn't actually that bad, since it accounts for the engine, all the fmvs included and almost an hour of gameplay. Not to mention its a damn awesome demo.
But anyway, I'm actually looking forward to hearing more about 14. I like mmo's xD |

| lulz. I saw this with the E3 thing and I had to laugh a bit. It's.... very fast. I'm not sure if I have it right, but it was they were using the world of XI again. That or they were just saying it was online like XIV again. >w>
I'm keeping up with so much of the XIII stuff and latest it's almost hilarious xD Well, the IGN fandubs are hilarious anyhow. |

| Already pretty frustrated/ annoyed/ ticked off/ head-desked/ emotional rampaged over FF14.
Just really MISS the awesome storylines and anime like styles the series had in the past.
Now it's just online Hack N Slash with Lord of the Rings type of of fable ?
Usually AVOID these types of games on the market like somebody with a case of Swine Flu.
If Microsoft is turning the FF series into Lord of the Rings type online games then will it be okay to just....grab a machine gun and shoot them down ? Including Bill Gates ?
Sorry but really hard out miss the storyline and almost anime & manga theme this series had in the past. Really miss the storyline with the man with the long-white flowing hair who found out that he was born on the moon. T______T
<*cries *>
... Wanted to get drunk last night after watching that Youtube Vid. Completely smashed.
Feel like SE are not listening to their fans, they are just listening to magazines and/ or business crewmen.. |

| I remembered some of the 8 and 16 bit games, where the stories were breathtaking, (take Final Fantasy VI for example). It seems that the games have departed their story deep roots in favor of the casual gamers.
Right? |

| What do you expect from online games? They're all hack'n'slash.
Maybe another gaming company will make the good ol' games again. Hopefully.
Hmm perhaps you should stop gaming for awhile? Or make your own games? Get some people in cosplay and play space jump :). |

Get some people in cosplay and play space jump :). I've tried. My biggest flaw is motivation since I lose it about halfway.
That and I get frustrated with RPG Maker. |

| Well, since FF14 is PS3 and PC exclusive I don't see how Microsoft are turning them Hack'n'slash.
Its not like all their games are going to be like that anyways. And 13 actually looks pretty damn impressive if you ask me. |

Right? ~~ Yes ~~ ! Man if Karma was still around would of given you a least 100 points right about now..
@ Lavi
Isn't PC Microsoft ?..
And yeah FF13 does look pretty amazing.. worried that SE is going to dump that style for a more common western approach though. Kinda pessimistic about the future. Plus it just seems like a marketing scheme/ ploy. FF Eleven was okay. Because SE lost their cash from Spirits Within.. but a online game, during a economic depression is pretty low.. |

Re: Final Fantasy XIV?! By Lavi_x. 04/06/09, 04:05 pm |
| Well, kinda. But there are other operating systems too, assuming they decide to support them... Thankfully though, with PC Microsoft have no real say in it.
There are still deep stories to be found from Squeenix. And from games in general. But not really with Final Fantasy anymore. I just hope 13 will change that.
Their money comes from Japan, so I doubt they will dump the style. As far as I know Japan LIKES online games anyways But they are becoming more business orientated, definitely. |

| Isn't PC multi-owned?
Asia is actually doing really well in the recession. Japan doesn't even notice it(if you've been there in the past month or so ;) funz)
RPG Maker isn't hard. You could make a quick half ass game in like 10 mins. It gets addictive. If you're computer is strong enough, get Adobe or Daz or play with Blender :)
Play space jump it'll make you wanna be even more dorky than before ;). |

I don't find it difficult. I just lose motivation about halfway through. Maybe I expect too much when using it.
I'll give it a go again once I work out a decent plot to follow. |

| I think the storyline has been the best part about the Final Fantasy series and if they change that to some "fable fighting game" and crap fighting i will be unhappy ff7,ff8 are still my favs of the series and ffx is also alright. As long as they improve the gameplay but have a great storyline ill still love it! Online doesnt appeal to me though. ive always liked ff series as rpg find out new things etc =S maybe just me |
