'Never Let Me Go' by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Probably the most emotionally affecting stories I have ever read.
Teared up a little at the end. I don't think there is any other book that has moved me so deeply.

The five people you meet in heaven ~ Mitch Albom
Tuesdays with Morrie ~ Mitch Albom
The Harry Potter series ~ J. K. Rowling
The Edge Chronicles ~ Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell
The Hobbit ~ J. R. R. Tolkein.

That's all i can think of at the moment. Probably heaps more.

There's far too many to list, so I'll go with top five.

Horatio Lyle - Catherine Webb.

Skulduggery Pleasant, the Faceless Ones - Derek Landy.

The Complete Sherlock Holmes - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Evil Genius - Catherine Jinks.

Genius Squad - Catherine Jinks.

And that concludes the five favourite books of P-Layton.

Hokay, will TRY to keep this as brief as possible.

Pratchett. All of it. Nuff said.

Tom Holt. As above.

Neil Gaiman. As Above.

Jim Butcher --- The Dresden FIles --- READ THEM. EPICNESS.

Deltora Quest ftw,

Garth Nix - Old kingdom Trilogy (AMAZING),

Jopnathan Stroud- Bartimaeus Trilogy,

Gregory Macuire - Most everything, Wicked, Son of a Witch, Confessions of an ugly stepsister,

C.S Lewis. I mean Durrrrr,

Anne Rice - REAL VAMPIRES KTHXBAI. Even if they can be rather sappy at times,

H.P Lovecraft... Esp The Shadow Over Innsmouth. Just seem to like that one more Razz

EDIT: AND Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. And The Devil Wears Prada ... It's actually good!!! Srsly!

Very Happy
Hows that?
AND that's just the ones I read regularly... As in at least 3 times a year. Lol

Don't read many books so I'm probably missing out on heaps of really good books but here's my favorite of what I have read.

Neuromancer - William Gibson

Moominsummer Madness - Tove Jansson, I enjoy the whole Moomin series but this was my favorite.

Charlotte's Web - E. B. White

The Harry Potter series - J. K. Rowling

The Mysterious Stranger - Mark Twain
